Stephenie Meyer has journeyed away from the "Twilight" zone to create her first desert-based sci-fi tale with "The Host," the Andrew Niccol-directed adaptation for which hits theaters this weekend. However with all the current talk about the story's "love box," we realized there's definitely a running theme here within each of her stories: basic geometry.

Seriously! Think about it. In addition to being a supernatural story-slinger she's also a secret math wiz, which definitively explains why with each book she's been able to introduce a new variable or two and change the shape of the emotional constants involved just enough to create distinctly new formulas.

What began as a simple line between two hearts with the first "Twilight," for instance, wound up being a somehow still sensical rectangle of vampire-vampire-werewolf-hybrid entanglements. It all adds up!

So, sharpen up your pencils, students, because it's time to study some Stephenie Meyer-style story graphs.

'Twilight' (Straight Line Central)

"Twilight" has a series of simple, fairly uncomplicated straight lines, including the one between Bella and Edward. After that fateful day in the school lunchroom, the two only have eyes for each another. She's the one person whose mind he can't read, and she smells delicious. He's mysterious, beautiful and way more mature than the other guys at Forks High.

Sure, Mike Newton and Jessica Stanley add some simple human-style crushing into the mix, but neither have a spider monkey's chance in a tree once the lion and lamb have declared themselves. They'll wind up finding lukewarm comfort with one another, though, so all's well enough.

Meanwhile, the Cullens are a trio of inseparable pairs ... except, oh right, that James guy has a weird thing for Alice.

'New Moon' (Angular Ave.)

"New Moon" throws a wrench, so to speak, into the linearness of Edward and Bella's relationship. After someone gets a papercut and sends baby brother rehab (a.k.a. Jasper) into a frenzied bloodlust, Mr. Perfect hits the road and leaves Bell-er wide open for a wolf attack.

Jacob definitely doesn't mind that Bella's temporarily beyond repair, so long as she's free to play with his, er, tools.

Also, a dog? That'd be Sam, who drops it like it's not at all hot once he lays eyes on his girlfriend's cousin.

'Eclipse' (Triangle City)

In "Eclipse," things get pretty twisty between Bella and Jacob. She and Edward's axes seem right as the never-ending rain, but Jake thinks it's no fair that the vampire's weaseled his way back into town when he was thiiiis close to landing the leading lady (note: he probably wasn't). Ultimately, all it takes to stop the snarling is a meager consolation kiss.

Along the way, we learn that Miss Soothsayer Alice had the foresight to sense the right time and coordinates to swoop in and collect her mate from the clutches of Southern puppeteer Maria. Unfortunately for hometown hunk Riley, his vision's not quite developed enough to see that in addition to being a murdering bloodsucker who runs from all her real problems, Victoria's also a cruel, cruel wench.

'Breaking Dawn' (Rectangle Road)

"Breaking Dawn" throws all the equations on the table and them jumbles 'em up. Just when it seems like things are finally straightening back out for the newlyweds, Bella gets knocked up with a half-vampire who-knows-what. Talk about an anomaly; they miscalculated that one. Then, after she staves off doom enough to survive a non-sedated vampire cesarean, Bells wakes up to find out Jake's called dibs on her daughter and Edward's (mostly) okay with it because he can tell the mutt's intentions are oh-so-innocent. Hmph.

Also, since Jacob and his buddies killed Frenchie in Book Two, Irina's got a new agenda lined up against the new Mrs. Cullen, the sum of which will be a vampire world showdown in the snow with countless factors involved.

All is good, though, because "eternal ladies man" Charlie sees that Harry's death left Sue single and ready to mingle. A+ observation, Chief!

'The Host' (Love Box Town)

Finally, even though "The Host" subtracts all the vampires and adds in a planet full of aliens, love is still very much a part of the equation.

In a nutshell, Melanie Stryder is a regular gal until she's captured by alien seekers who've implanted themselves into almost every human on Earth. Wanderer is a really old "soul" who gets to cozy up under Mel's fresh skin, but this Melanie chick refuses to jet from her mind completely, so Wanda starts getting some trace feels for the girl's old flame Jared.

She makes way to the human's secret colony to convince J that M is still living upstairs, and bam! A random survivor named Ian becomes taken with the soul of the body snatcher, which totally has zip to do with Mel's darling little figure either ... right?

As with any legit infograph series, here's a color key for reference.
As for the next installment, might we suggest a rhombus? Or maybe a full-on octagon of emotional wreckage?

"Breaking Dawn Part 1" continues to be number one at the box office, despite "The Muppets" opening on a family holiday weekend. With all of the success and money "Twilight" has enjoyed, it's bound to have lots of fans in Hollywood. Plenty of people there just want to jump on the bandwagon of something popular.

However, there are a number of celebrities who appear to be genuine Twi-hards. They may start watching "Twilight" as a joke, or read to the first book just to find out what the hype is about, but it ends up hooking them. They end up talking about it in interviews and tweeting about it much more than I imagine they expected.

We already know about the obvious celebrity Twi-hards like Dakota Fanning, who won the part of Jane after admitting her fandom, and any female child star under 15 years old. Here are 10 Twi-hard celebrities that you may not know about.

50 Cent

When 50 Cent decided that he needed new G-Unit recruits, Robert Pattinson's name made his shortlist. He told MTV, "He has a big enough following to be the frontline. 'Twilight' ain't no joke." Curtis Jackson is joking. He attended the "New Moon" premiere and admitted on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that he's a fan. There was even a minor campaign to get him into "Breaking Dawn." After all, with as many bullets as 50 Cent has taken, he may be a vampire.

Snarky comedian and Twitter superstar Aziz Ansari decided to live-tweet his "Twilight" watching experience. Obviously, he had his fair share of jokes: "If you stop a van from hitting a girl, don't be such a d--k about it. Be like, "Look baby, I'm a vampire. That's how." #EdwardisBeingaD--k." Ultimately, he decided he loved it: "WHOA. Can anyone that has long scraggly hair in this movie turn into a wolf? That's dope! Why do people hate on this movie???! #Twilight." However, he still can't pick a team: "Still can't figure out if I'm #TeamJacob or #TeamEdward or #TeamAsianKidwithGlassesThatGoestoSchoolwithEm ..."

Sofia Coppola

The director of "Lost in Translation" and "Marie Antoinette" was on the shortlist of people that Summit considered to helm the "Breaking Dawn" monster. Obviously, she lost out to Bill Condon, but that doesn't make her less of a fan. Coppola revealed to MTV News, "I'm impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson pulling it off in that whole story. I just love that it's so romantic." While I like the job Condon has done so far, I can't help but wonder what Coppola's "Breaking Dawn" would have been. It would have included more Scarlett Johansson-esque awkward brooding.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

These British comedic actors, who starred in "Shaun of the Dead," "Hot Fuzz" and "Paul," have tweeted back and forth about "Twilight" more than smitten schoolgirls. Pegg wrote, "@nickjfrost He's effectively pushing her into Jacob's muscular and suspiciously hairy arms." To which Frost replied, "@simonpegg she's a nice girls but she keeps falling for monsters." And before you think they're just joking around, Pegg already admitted his Twi-hard-dom on Twitter: " Read the Twilight books on hols. Really enjoyed them in a sort of 'creepy old man reading delusional, horny, daughter's diary' way."

Patrick Kane

19-year old hockey star and Chicago Blackhawks center Patrick Kane likes to put on a tough exterior, but even a celebrity teen can be sold out by his mother. Kane's mom caught him reading "Breaking Dawn" -- and told the press. When asked about it, he laughed, "She would throw me under the bus like that. I watched the first three movies and was really interested ... so I decided to read the fourth book." That's cool, Kane. Hockey players should enjoy ice-cold vampires.

Ryan Seacrest

This "American Idol" and radio show host doesn't make fun of many things in popular culture. He can't afford to, because his entire schtick is appealing to the masses. So, while his radio show readings of the "Twilight" books sound snarky, I think there's genuine interest there. After all, when Pattinson came on his show in 2009, Seacrest asked about his relationship with Kristen Stewart, which was a big no-no at the time and sent Pattinson storming off. Only a Twi-hard wouldn't be able to resist asking a sensitive question that juicy.

Katy Perry

I've written about Krisbians before. They're mostly female fans who are bi-curious, but would definitely "go lesbian" for Kristen Stewart. Well, count Katy Perry as a celebrity Krisbian. After her song "I Kissed A Girl" broke big, she was asked which girl she'd most like to kiss. Her answer? You guessed it.

I'm not saying the President of the United States sits in the Oval Office Googling R.Pattz and K.Stew gossip when he should be dealing with the national debt, but Obama has admitted to enjoying the "Twilight" books and discussing them with his oldest daughter Malia. You may argue he's just saying that to appeal to voters. But c'mon, how many Twihards are even old enough to vote? Maybe his term has been disappointing because he's so obsessed with Male Twi-hard updates on Twitter?

You probably saw this one coming. Of course popular goth rocker Adam Lambert would be a Twi-hard. The surprising thing is how hardcore he is about it. He's talked about it in many interviews, even if the interviewer doesn't bring it up. And he really lobbied hard to be involved with the film series, even going as far as to bite Catherine Hardwicke's neck. He must have tried too hard and freaked out producers.

Rosario Dawson

Known for movies like "Kids," "25th Hour" and "Death Proof," this New York native has made a name by playing tough-chick characters. Despite Rosario Dawson's image, she can't help admitting her soft spot for sparkly vampires. "I just read the first book, it's ridiculous, it's like crack cocaine. I read it for 10 hours straight until I finished it," Dawson told People. Her analogy to drug addiction was no joke. Like an addict, she couldn't have the books near her while working; otherwise she'd blow off responsibilities to read. In fact, she ignored her family one Christmas vacation to read "New Moon," "Eclipse" and "Breaking Dawn."

"It did feel realistically ceremonial," Kristen Stewart revealed about the most famous human-vampire wedding ever.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Jacob Lautner had a little chat with MTV's Josh Horowitz after their hand and foot ceremony at Grauman's yesterday, and revealed some exclusive tidbits about tje 'Breaking Dawn' nuptials, Stewart's wedding dress nerves and Lautner's take on being the youngest of the "Twilight" crew.

What's more exciting than a montage of clips from "Breaking Dawn?" A montage of clips from "Breaking Dawn" with a beautiful love song playing in the background. The song also gives us a clue as to what the soundtrack will be like for the new installment of the "Twilight Saga," and if this video is any indication, it's going to be awesome.

We were starting to pull our (well-coiffed) hair out -- it had simply been way too long since we last got a few new stills of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson looking lovingly at each other in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1." And this batch of seven doesn't disappoint.

We've got Carlisle and Esme looking super-proud and emotional at the big wedding, Emmett carrying a giant log, Jacob all broody and ticked off, Edward with a bloody shirt. And, yeah, we've got Bella being carried over the threshold.

Lee Pace is all over the place these days.

Although some of us have been fans since spotting him in Tarsem Singh's sobfest "The Fall" or TV's "Pushing Daisies," Pace is taking it to the next level (and leaving "Marmaduke" in the dust) with bigger and better roles all the time. As we know, he's vamping it up in "Breaking Dawn" as Garrett and traveling to Middle Earth to rule over the Elves as Thranduil.

But that's not all! He's just signed on for a role in Steven Spielberg's star-studded "Lincoln," where he'll play pro-Confederate NYC Mayor Fernando Wood.

Not cool, dude. Not. Cool. No doubt Lincoln, aka Daniel Day-Lewis, will have something to say about that!

"Lincoln," which is not to be confused with "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," has a crazy cast that includes Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sally Field, David Strathairn, John Hawkes, James Spader, and basically every noteworthy actor currently alive and kicking.

As if that wasn't Oscar-baity enough, it's based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doris Kearns Goodwin, "Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln," and boasts a screenplay by another Pulitzer Prize-winner, Tony Kushner.

According to Deadline, the folks behind the hefty chunk of Hollywood are aiming for the 2012 Oscar season. I guess they're counting on the Maya being wrong about that whole end-of-the-world deal on December 21, 2012. And now, we have yet another reason to hope they are -- if only to stare into Lee Pace's piercing peepers one last time.

In the meantime, you can also catch Lee Pace as a hilariously wanky director in the loveable indie "Ceremony," directed by Max Winkler. That's right, Henry's son is all grown up and made himself a damn fine romantic comedy drama that you should rent ASAP!

For anyone like me -- unlucky enough to be stuck at home instead of going to San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend -- you have no doubt heard whispers about some of the fast and furious "Twilight" insanity that went down there.

Well, I've been glued to my computer, pressing refresh on my browser precisely ever 45 seconds (any sooner would just be weird and obessessive), looking for the latest updates.

While it cannot compare to actually being there, here, from my vantage point, are the top seven "Twilight-related" things that you and I missed at Comic-Con. Let's not let it happen again (hear me, NextMovie editors?).

1. Twi-Hards Get 6:30 a.m. Surprise

Fans began lining up to get into the "Twilight" Comic-Con panel as early as three days in advance. In related news, I began dropping to my knees and bowing in respect to those fans also three days in advance. That is hardcore. Like the opposite of NWA-hardcore, but still hardcore. Anyway, I should have been there with them, because those Twi-Hards were rewarded with a surprise visit from Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Julia Jones and Boo Boo Stewart (Boo Boo!).

Showing a lot of grace for big Hollywood stars, the actors popped up not long after dawn broke, greeted fans for over an hour, signed autographs and posed for photos. Had I been there, I suppose I would've had a hard time deciding on whether to spend that hour convincing Nikki to marry me instead of Paul McDonald or proving to Ashley that I'm the next Jonas brother. It's really hard to say unless you're there in the moment.

2. Panel Premieres 'Breaking Dawn Part 1' Clips

We may have been hoping for clips from Bella's pregnancy, but that was a little too much to ask for. Those scenes are likely going to be some of the most memorable of the entire "Twilight Saga." And not to mention all bloody and disgusting (in a beautiful way, I mean).

According the sources, the video that was shown focused primarily on Bella and Edward's honeymoon and their "about-to-do-the-nasty-for-the-first-time moments." That, of course, prompted lots and lots shrieking from the excited crowd.

While it will never be as exciting to see those scenes as I imagine it was in that panel room, I don't miss my ears ringing from the decibel-breaking screamfest. Just because I like "Twilight" does not mean I ever get used to banshee screeches.

3. Seeing R.Pattz's Crazy Haircut in Person

The photos that surfaced two weeks ago of Robert Pattinson's new hairstyle -- long and floppy on one side, raggedly buzzed on the other-- made him look like some homeless gutter punk. Apparently, the cut is for the trippy thriller "Cosmopolis" that he's currently filming. In a scene, his character flips out mid-haircut and bolts before the barber is done (we've all done it).

Do you think those producers planned to shoot those scenes right before Comic-Con on purpose? I do.

Jerks.

4. Watching Creepy 5-Year-Old Talk Sex

Stealing the show away from Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson is nearly an impossible feat, especially at a freaking "Twilight" panel. However, there are multiple reports of a "toe-headed 5-year-old girl" yanking the focus away from the stars when she asked, "Did you like having the baby with Bella?,” then staring Pattinson down "like she was a child from the corn."

This made the Brit so flustered, he actually called out the awkwardness by saying, "The way you’re looking makes it seem like you’re asking something else." Sounds classic. Hollywood needs to put those two in a movie, stat!

5. Getting Stoked on 'Abduction'

I'll be honest, I haven't really been as excited about Taylor Lautner's upcoming project "Abduction" as I've been about "Cosmopolis," "On the Road" and "Snow White & The Huntsman."

However, word is Lautner, who in addition to sitting on the "Twi"-panel signed autographs while pimping "Abduction," attacked the movie as if he's doing the next "Bourne" or "Minority Report." He even said this weekend that he really studied Matt Damon and Tom Cruise's performances while preparing for the role. That gives me a lot of hope for his future as a big-screen ass-kicker.

6. Attending 'Snow White & the Huntsman' Panel

Lucky Kristen Stewart sounds like she already has a new hit movie franchise on her hands as a badass Snow White. At the movie's Comic-Con panel yesterday, director Rupert Sanders, Chris Hemsworth (Huntsman), Charlize Theron (Evil Queen), Sam Claflin (Prince Charmant) and Snow White herself discussed the film and showed a teaser clip.

The movie takes a much darker look at the classic fairy tale and could be "on the scale with 'Lord of the Rings' in terms of size and scope." Theron even said she's basically playing a "serial killer." Awesome.

7. Seeing Lots of Nudity At 'True Blood' Panel

I know this is cheating. This has nothing to do with "Twilight" and actually, nothing to do with movies even. However, I love vampires a lot and my love doesn't end with the Cullens. So, sometimes I also hang out with the darker and campier vampires of HBO's "True Blood" (but I don't love them as much as you, Cullens, I swear). They give me a different type of experience, one admittedly more in line with the needs of a 30-year-old straight dude.

Well, it sounds as if the clips shown at the "True Blood" panel were a perfect compliment after the relatively chaste "Breaking Dawn" panel. With teasers to the graphic sex we'll be seeing this season and the stars we watch actually there in person, it must have been like hanging out with the devil on your shoulder after waiting in line for three days to see the angel first. It's no "Twilight," but still...

ATTENTION: Those within proximity of "Twilight" fans within the last 12 hours have no need to be concerned, your friends or loved ones have not been kidnapped/raptured but merely spontaneously combusted after witnessing the new trailer for "Breaking Dawn."

The teaser debuted amidst the pomp and circumstance of the MTV Movie Awards, and fans have been overcome with anticipation, exhilaration, and several emotions the American Psychiatric Association has yet to classify. Well now we have a new disorder for the DSM which we're calling "Twiractionism," i.e. the need to videotape one's reaction to "Twilight" and post it to YouTube before all one's molecules explode.

Take, for example the following Twi-Hard aptly named "nuttymadam3575" who recorded herself watching the trailer for the first time, although from her squeals and crying you'd think she was watching terrorists blow up her local Kentucky Fried Chicken. (WARNING: There are F-bombs aplenty within. Seriously NSFW.)

"I'm sorry, I really wanted to be cheerful at this video, but it's all gonna end! … It's a really good trailer, and she really has got massive boobs!"

Those still under the impression that "Twilight" is a ladies-only club need to check out this dude, "dadsbestchild,"  who gets more than a little verklempt while watching, then when it's over goes into a jag of hand-waving "OMG" spasms.

Another big fan, "WattZeYmo," is particularly enamored with Robert Pattinson's new physique during his headboard-breaking boot-knocking with Bella. Clearly he puts the jam in her jelly roll.

"Did you see that? He was givin' it to her… Lord have mercy, this movie."

It's all good. November's going to be here, like, any day now, right? Right?

It can't come soon enough, 'cause November brings us the new "Twilight" movie. It's been almost a year since "Eclipse," and that's just way too ridiculously long to wait for a "Twilight" movie. So November can just get on its horse and Pony Express it right on over here as soon as, you know, the space-time continuum allows.

For now, we have only sweet, maddening teases. And here's the latest torture device that reminds us that it's still only May: the first teaser (see?) poster for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1." No sign of KStew or RPattz or anyone else, but it does offer a beautiful and haunting image that should put you in the mood for the epic-ness to come.

The cast of "The Twilight Saga" is many things -- young, exceedingly attractive, impressively talented -- but are they stuntmen and women?

Apparently so, according to Ashley Greene.

When NextMovie sat down to discuss her upcoming film, "Skateland," she confessed that she and the rest of gang -- yep, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner too -- were ambitious when it came to doing their own daring battle tricks for "Breaking Dawn."

"They're working with special effects but actually our cast as a whole is pretty athletic," she tells NextMovie exclusively. "Everyone really wants to be able to do their own stunts. We all worked really hard to do as much as production would possibly allow us do insurance-wise.

"A lot of what you see will actually be us doing it."

She couldn't go into further detail about what all that entailed, but we're guessing it means she'll be doing quite a bit of running, jumping and pouncing on members of the Volturi army. In other words, Bring. It. On.

The "Twilight" saga may be nearing an end with parts 1 & 2 of "Breaking Dawn," but the cultural phenomenon isn't going anywhere.

Proving that the romantic triangle of Edward, Bella and Jacob has woven itself firmly into the web of pop culture, Fleetwood Mac singer Steve Nicks has announced that a song off her new album, entitled "Moonlight - A Vampire's Dream," was inspired by the film "New Moon."

Twilight Lexicon directed us to the press release for the "In Your Dreams," Nicks' first album in more than 10 years, which quotes the singer as saying, "I had written a song in Brisbane, Australia, when I was on tour with Fleetwood Mac in 2009 called 'Moonlight — A Vampire's Dream' which was inspired by the 'New Moon' film. When I finished writing that song, which came together really quickly, I knew the time was right to start recording."

"Moonlight" is the only song on the album to give "Twilight" a nod, but sounds like the inspiration for the entire collection. Could a spot on the "Breaking Dawn" soundtrack be far behind?

Nicks' "In Your Dreams" sees release May 3, 2011, while the next installment of the romantic series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" hits theaters Nov. 18.

Twi-hards (and, admittedly, some NextMovie staffers) will be shedding a tear when the final installment of "The Twilight Saga" reaches its closing credits. But we're not the only ones.

"It got a little melancholy," Peter Facinelli told MTV News of filming "Breaking Dawn"'s epic final scene. "It was sad."

Dr. Cullen wouldn't spill too many details on the final scene besides that it has "lots of vampires" in it. But he did offer his thoughts on director Bill Condon.

"Twilight" fans have been thirsting to know just how the final two films will be split up, and now producer Wyck Godfrey is telling all.

But wait – stop reading now if you're not a fan of SPOILERS!

As Twi-hards know, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" finale -- due in theaters November 18, 2011, and November 16, 2012, respectively – needs to cover a lot of territory, including the wedding of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), the gory birth of their daughter, Bella's transformation into one of the undead and a huge blowout with the Volturi vampires and Quileute werewolves.

Godfrey says things will start off with the focus primarily on Bella.

"We basically want to take the audience through the emotional part of Bella's journey as she becomes a vampire," he tells USA Today of "Breaking Dawn." "The first part will cover the wedding, the honeymoon and the birth." And that means Bella's supernatural transformation will take place in part two.

But back to the wedding and the baby. Will fans actually get to see actual vampire sex on screen? Godfrey says Bella and Edward will indeed get more physical than they have in the past, but, "It does not become soft porn. It is a legitimate and important part of the movie, romantic, and sensual."

Darn.

And that brings us to the baby. Bella's delivery in the book was intense and bloody, and Godfrey says onscreen version should satisfy Twi-hards but still keep its PG-13 rating.

"It would be a crime against our audience to go R-rated," he tells USA Today. Still, he says, "This is based on a much more mature book. We need to progress and be more sophisticated."

His solution: Showing the birth through Bella's eyes. "She is looking through the haze, experiencing pain and everything rushing around her. We only see what she sees."

As for part two of "Breaking Dawn," Godfrey says expect plenty of tension.

"The second half is more of an action film in terms of life-and-death stakes," he says, adding that the honeymoon will really be over for Bella and Edward. "There are the pangs of newlywed tension that occur that are relatable even in a fantasy film. Marriage is not quite the experience that they thought it was."

It looks like the cast of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1" is cozying up, down on the Louisiana set.

In this just-released photo posted on Shockya, Robert Pattinson, aka the sexiest vampire on the silver screen, mugs for the camera while holding Alex Rice's (real-life) baby girl.

(We know, we know.  We too were hoping this was a first look at little Renesmee.) Still, the baby is pretty cute, and Rob does look pretty fatherly.

Rice plays Sue Clearwater—the mother of two werewolves who becomes what some would call "involved" with Bella's father, Charlie, near the end of "Breaking Dawn."

To make things just a bit more creepy interesting, Rice's baby is named… Bella.

"Twilight" star Bronson Pelletier had to fight off more than teenage girls at a fan convention in Birmingham, England.

The actor, who plays the werewolf Jared in the hit franchise, was attacked by a group of drunken men while attending the Eternal Twilight 4 event.

The four alleged attackers, who were guests at a wedding reception in the hotel, launched their assault on Pelletier in the restroom of the Hilton Metropole Hotel. The actor was hit over the skull, head-butted and held in a headlock before managing to free himself with only a broken nose.

The attackers were chased by police officers, and one was restrained after cops used a Taser gun. A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirms four men were arrested on suspicion of assault. Two were released and two were granted bail pending further questioning, according to Britain’s Daily Telegraph.

A source recounts, “Bronson was really angry and upset… These guys were very nasty. They were so drunk they probably didn’t even realize they were picking on a Hollywood actor."

But Pelletier sees things differently, recalling, "These five drunken hooligans followed me into a restroom… They did it because they wanted to jump somebody who was in 'Twilight.'”

Whatever the motive, we're sure Twihards everywhere are breathing a sigh of relief knowing that this werewolf is on the road to recovery. He will next be seen in the two-part "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn," out Nov. 18, 2011, and Nov. 16, 2012, respectively.

There are just a few days left until our nation heads to the polls for election day and, as always, the state of the economy is the number one issue, with both sides arguing over the effectiveness of the President's economic recovery plan.

Well, don't look now, but we've just received a press release that could tip the balance as it proves indisputably that jobs are in fact being created at an incredible rate -- you just have to be a vampire to get them.

Yes, its true: the unemployment rate in Hollywood has dipped to an all-time low thanks to Summit's production of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn," which announced yesterday that they have signed another eight actors to the film. 

And while you may think it unlikely that one movie could single-handedly solve our country's unemployment woes, consider this: IMDb already listed a whopping 48 cast members for the film before this announcement, which explains why they had to cut the movie into two installments -- they're going to need that much time just to get everyone on screen.

So who are the new faces? Well, Summit is keeping mum on just what roles any of these folks are going to be playing, but here's the line-up from the official press release:

This time of year, most people are feverishly trying to decide on just the right Halloween costume. A ghost, maybe, or a pirate? Or what about a witch?

British superstar Michael Sheen doesn't have those concerns this year, because he's already decided on the perfect look: a vampire.

Not one of those icky vampires, mind you, but the sparkly kind, as Empire is reporting that Sheen will be returning to "The Twilight Saga" as Volturi leader Aro for "Breaking Dawn."

This isn't a total surprise, of course, as Sheen played Aro in 2009's "New Moon." And there's that whole big showdown scene toward the end of the final book.

Still, until now his participation in "Breaking Dawn," which is scheduled to be split into two parts due to the epicness of the storyline, has merely been an unofficial rumor.

Fans still have a little longer to wait to see Aro up on the big screen again, though; the first installment of "Breaking Dawn" isn't scheduled to hit theaters until November 18, 2011.

When he's not playing vampires, of course, Sheen is best known for portraying former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in a number of movie and television events including "The Queen" and "The Special Relationship." He also earned acclaim for his part as David Frost in the 2008 best Picture nominee "Frost/Nixon."

Still, it's his role as Aro, ancient leader of the widely feared Volturi clan, that has Twihards all atwitter. And he's likely to turn a few more heads this time, as both Aro and the Volturi play a much larger part in "Breaking Dawn" than they did in "New Moon."

Ever wonder what your kids would look like?  Ever wonder what your kids would look like if your significant other was a pale, sparkly, emotional mess with a fondness for blood?  Well, "Twilight Saga" star Kristen Stewart has yet to come face to face with her onscreen offspring Mackenzie Foy, but the pictures "weird" her out nonetheless.

"It's funny, [director] Bill Condon was like, 'Wait until you see this kid. If you and Rob had a kid, this would be it,'" Stewart told MTV News.  "I was like, 'That's so weird.' She just looks like -- she sort of looks like Bella," Stewart stopped short of comparing herself with the young actress, refering to her character instead. 

"Although the funny thing is she has green eyes, and we both have to wear brown contacts together."

Has Summit Entertainment gone completely batty with its latest casting for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn?" Certainly seems so!

The studio has just released the names of a whole slew of actors who will sink their teeth into the roles of the Amazon, Irish, Romanian, and Egyptian Covens as well as the European and American Nomads.

Among those joining the undead for the two-part finale, due in theaters on Nov. 18, 2011, and Nov. 16, 2012, respectively:

The Amazon Coven – Judi Shekoni (the UK's "EastEnders") and Tracey Heggins ("Brothers and Sisters") will portray Zafrina and Senna, descendents of an ancient Amazonian tribe. Though these vamps drink blood, they are allies with veggie vampire Carlisle Cullen (Peter Facinelli).

The Irish Coven – The young, bloodthirsty-but-civilized group consists of Marlane Barnes ("The Tree of Life") as Maggie, and Lisa Howard and Patrick Brennan as founders Siobhan and Liam.

The Romanian Coven - Noel Fisher ("Final Destination 2") and Guri Weinberg ("Munich") are Vladimir and Stefan, members of the Romanian Coven, which ruled for centuries until the Italian Volturi unseated them. And yes, they're still bitter.

The Egyptian Coven – Though not related by blood, this close-knit bunch – consisting of Omar Metwally ("Rendition") as Amun, Andrea Gabriel ("Lost") as Kebi, Rami Malek ("Night at the Museum") as Benjamin, and Angela Sarafyan ("The Good Guys") as Tia -- sure could pass for one.

The American Nomads – Former "Pushing Daisies" star Lee Pace is Carlisle's old friend Garrett, a non-vegan vampire who was "turned" during the Revolutionary War and has wandered the world ever since. Erik Odom and Valorie Curry ("Veronica Mars") are lovers Peter and Charlotte, who are also pals of Jasper Cullen (Jackson Rathbone). Toni Trucks ("Music and Lyrics") and Bill Tangradi ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") round out the group as Mary and Randall.

The European Nomads – "The Crazies" star Joe Anderson will get his wild on as misanthropic English nomad Alistair, who, despite being a close acquaintance of Carlisle, doesn't visit more than once a century. But hopefully, he brings coffee cake.

It looks like the "Twilight" gang is trading the Great White North for The Big Easy.

"Twilight" alum Nikki Reed broke the news to HollywoodLife, revealing that the entire cast and crew will be heading for New Orleans in less than two weeks to begin production on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn."

This is a dramatic change of setting for the production, as the previous films have been shot almost exclusively in Vancouver.

Reed will, of course, be reprising her role as Rosalie, and she hopes audiences will get to see a more "sympathetic" side to her vampire character in the final installment of the series.

"Breaking Dawn" will be divided into two parts, with Part I coming to theaters on Nov. 18, 2011.  The film is directed by Bill Condon.

It takes a village to bring vampires to life — on the silver screen, that is.

In a special Facebook post, director Bill Condon has revealed his impressive team of production members who are going to turn the “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” fantasy into reality.

"Wonderful, imaginative people all and very exciting, intense times for us," Condon promises.

First up is Guillermo Navarro, who took home 2006’s Academy Award for Best Cinematography for the whimsical “Pan’s Labyrinth,” and now leads the way as the cinematographer.

Next, the task of creating heart-stopping vampire looks lies in the crafty hands of costume designer Michael Wilkinson and makeup designer Jean Black. Wilkinson’s creations have appeared in “300” and “Watchmen, ”and Black was part of the team that took Brad Pitt from frail old man to devilishly handsome youth (thank you!) in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” which nabbed the Oscar for Best Achievement in Makeup Design. We're guessing he'll be using some of those mad skills on nine-year-old Mackenzie Foy.

Rounding out the new names is production designer Richard Sherman, who previously worked with Condon on “Gods and Monsters” and “Kinsey," and Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor John Bruno. Bruno has created some of the most striking special effects to-date, with his skills giving life to everything from1982’s “Poltergeist” to 2009’s “Avatar.”

In Hollywood, the land of dreams, we can’t image a better dream team to create those smoldering vampires with icy stares who keep us up at night.

Watch out. Even more vampires are about to descend on the little town of Forks.

Robert Pattinson and the rest of the Cullen clan are due for some company in the form of the Denali coven. And a trio of lovely ladies -- plus Maggie Grace, as announced earlier this week -- are among them. Sorry, K.Stew.

Former "Alias" star Mia Maestro (pictured) and "Dexter"'s Christian Camargo are Carmen and Eleazar, the Esme and Carlisle-like parental figures of the "vegetarian" coven, while Casey LaBow and MyAnna Buring join forces with Grace as a trio of Russian vampire sisters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

LaBow swaps the streets of “CSI: NY” for the Denali home to play Kate, a girlish vampire who can produce an electric current to shock her opponents. Buring, the star of "The Descent," takes on the role of Tanya, a blond-bombshell who can’t quite seem to let her history with Edward go (much to Bella's chagrin).

Throw them all together and you’ve got one bad-ass Alaskan coven for the two final installments of "The Twilight Saga."

The first "Breaking Dawn" movie is slated to hit theaters next November, with the second following a year later — that is, if these new ladies (and Camargo) all behave.

The cast for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" just keeps growing, and it now has its official hot blonde and cute kid. 

Maggie Grace has joined the "Breaking Dawn" gang, taking on the role of Irina, a "vegetarian" vampire who turns on the Cullens when she believes they're responsible for her former lover's demise, Deadline reports. Additionally, nine-year-old newcomer Mackenzie Foy has been cast as Renesmee, Entertainment Weekly was the first to report.

Maggie is probably best known for working the short shorts as Shannon Rutherford on ABC's "Lost" (well, before she got shot, anyway).  She also appeared in the 2005 remake of John Carpenter's 1980 ghost story, "The Fog," and Liam Neeson destroyed all of France after she was kidnapped and sold into sex slavery in "Taken." 

Maggie and Mackenzie join fellow "new blood" Rami Malek, who will be playing Benjamin, an Egyptian vamp who can control the elements but isn't very good at it just yet. 

Director Bill Condon will direct "Breaking Dawn" in two parts, with Part I landing in theaters on Nov. 18, 2011, and Part II arriving a full year later. He reportedly will be using the same techniques as "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" to show Mackenzie's rapid growth as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's vampire hybrid spawn.

Don't expect to see vampires and werewolves jumping out at you when "Breaking Dawn" makes its leap to the big screen. Contrary to rumors making their way around the Internet, the two-part finale of "the Twilight saga" will not be released in 3-D.

A Summit Entertainment rep tells celebrity news site Gossip Cop, "Neither film is being shot in 3-D,” adding that such reports are “fabricated.”

However, a source also tells the site that three-dimensional effects could be added to the two movies in post-production.

The 3-D denial likely comes as good news to those Twi-hards who weren't exactly looking forward to dodging blood and afterbirth during little Renesmee Cullen's on-screen arrival.

Parts one and two of "Breaking Dawn" are set to open Nov. 18, 2011, and Nov. 16, 2012, respectively. The trinity of "Twilight" stars -- Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner -- are due on the Vancouver set in November.

Last week singer/actor Omarion told Next Movie's Breanne L. Heldman that he wants to be cast in "Breaking Dawn" because there are no black folks in "Twilight."

He has obviously overlooked Laurent, played by Kenyan-born actor Edi Gathegi. Plus, there is that one dude in the newborn vampire army (don't remember? See photo demonstration below). That's two black characters -- not too bad for a series based in The Great White Northwest. That may be more than the actual African-American population in the state of Washington. (Sorry, bad joke, I'm well aware that Sir Mix-a-Lot lives in Seattle.)

Omarion does present a strong point though. A more diversified cast would make for a more interesting "Breaking Dawn."

Fans have to wait another two years before we get both film adaptations of the final novel. Do you have any idea how long two years is in Twi-hard time? The answer is "fooorrrreeevvvveeerrrrrr." So the producers need to reward us with some surprises.

Since I know this column is widely read among powerful executives at Summit Entertainment, I would like to present my suggestions for casting the other vampire covens with diverse actors. I know I'm doing the casting department's job here but no need to repay me. I do this for the love of "Twilight," not for wealth (sorry NextMovie, I still expect to be paid for this column though.) Oh and if you do want to want to repay me, I wouldn't mind one of Bella's fashion engagement rings – the real thing, not the replica.

Amazonian Coven

Zafrina: Oprah Winfrey. She is perfect for this role as coven leader and powerful illusionist because she already does both. Don't you see the magic she casts on her audience?
 
Kachiri: Tyler Perry. This vampire is described as a tall, muscular, dark-skinned female. That's right, Tyler. It's time for Madea Goes Vampire.

Senna: Tyra Banks. She's already used to playing second fiddle to Oprah.

Denali Coven

Eleazar: Danny Trejo. This vampire is from Spain originally and has a dark nomadic past. Sounds perfect for Machete.

Garrett: Drake. All right, so this character is described as having pale skin and ponytail.  But have you ever stared into Drake's eyes? Have you?!

Irina: Lucy Liu. OK, again I'm stretching with the ethnicity a bit from the book. I just think Liu made such an awesome villain in "Kill Bill."

Sasha and Vasilii: Shawn Wayans ("White Chicks") and Marlon Wayans ("Little Man.") This mother and immortal child only appear in flashbacks so it's a perfect opportunity for stunt casting!

Egyptian Coven

Benjamin: Rami Malek has already been cast. Great choice, as he is of Egyptian ancestry.

Amun: Dev Patel. Just because they're in the Egyptian coven doesn't mean they're originally from there. And that Amun's a total slumdog.

Kebi: Freida Pinto. Since we're casting Patel as Amun, why not cast his gorgeous real-life girlfriend and "Slumdog" co-star as his onscreen mate?

So there you have it, executives at Summit. Now, some of those may seem a little far-fetched. However, did you expect Maria Carey and Mo'Nique to be so amazing in "Precious"? No. And "Precious" was nominated for Best Picture. Who says "Breaking Dawn" can't be too?

With "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" set to start shooting soon, we're steeling ourselves for the steady trickle of casting announcements to start any day.

Other than Rami Malek, we haven't heard anything yet. Until now. Well, sorta.

We ran into "You Got Served" star Omarion at Us Weekly's 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers party at Lavo last week and asked him if he had any big movies in the pipeline. He didn't so much name a project as he did a fantasy.

"You know what movie I think I should be in? 'Twilight,'" he tells NextMovie. "There are no black guys in it. Well, the black Jamaican guy (Edi Gathegi), but I bring the sexy though. They need to [find a part for me] 'cause I'm telling you right now, I'm the young handsomest, blackest, sexiest of all time."

Hmm.

We asked you on Twitter if you agreed and the responses were unanimously against such a casting coup.

"Get in line," wrote a handful of commenters, along with a simple, resounding "NO."

"I can't see a part that he'd do as well as… Sorry Omarion!" one polite responder contributed.

It's about time we heard some "Breaking Dawn" casting news, right?

The final book of "The Twilight Saga" – which will be delivered in two installments – starts shooting in Vancouver and Louisiana soon. Of course, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the gang will be back, but who will play all the vampires who rally together for the big final battle against the Volturi?

Well, here comes the first. "Night at the Museum"'s Rami Malek revealed on Emmy night – he also starred in HBO's "The Pacific" – that he'll be playing Egyptian vampire Benjamin in the second half of "Breaking Dawn."

"It's going to be super-exciting and I'm thrilled," the 29-year-old told "Entertainment Tonight"'s guest reporter, Kate Gosselin.

Like Edward's ability to read minds and Alice's ability to see the future, Benjamin, too, is a sparkling blood sucker with a special talent. He can control the four elements, "Airbender"-style.

Egyptians have given this world many wonderful things, from mankind's first forms of written communication to the mysteriously perfect pyramids of Gaza.  Come Nov. 2012, when the second chapter of "Breaking Dawn" hits theaters (the first will arrive one year earlier), we can add one more item to that list: a hunky, heartthrob of a vampire.

For "Twilight" fans, questions about how "Breaking Dawn" will translate onto the big screen extend far beyond the wedding, honeymoon and already infamous birthing scene. Like any good fantasy young adult series, the closing chapters involve one big, final showdown. Stephenie Meyer's series is no exception.

Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells MTV News she's nearly finished – 75 to 80 percent, to be precise! – but it's that later scene that's causing the most head-scratching.

Films and television featuring blood-lusting creatures have proven to have real financial bite, accounting for a $7 billion boost to the Hollywood economy since the 2008 release of "Twilight," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

While the genre isn’t exactly new – hello, "Nosferatu" – it’s clear the public has gone batty over vamps in recent years.

The "Twilight" trilogy alone took in $1.76 billion globally, with "Twilight" and "New Moon" grossing an additional $160 million in home video sales. Expect those numbers to skyrocket when "Eclipse" comes out on DVD and the first of the two "Breaking Dawn" films rolls out in November 2011.

The Edward Cullen effect appears to have made fans eager to see the undead in other areas of entertainment as well. Books, which helped bring in $1.6 billion and merchandise such as dolls, jewelry, clothing and soundtracks grossed an additional $600 million.

And naturally, there have been porn spinoffs – "The Vampire Sex Diaries," anyone? – to further raise the receipts.
 
Though vampire fans can get their fix just about anywhere these days, it’s clear they’re thirsty for more immortal adventure on the big screen.

The new "Twilight" parody "Vampires Suck" grossed $20 million this week, and even more fang-tastic adventures await, including October’s "Let Me In," a remake of a Swedish film about a bullied boy who meets a mysterious girl, next year’s 3-D thriller "Priest" and in-development projects from a fourth “Underworld” flick to Amy Heckerling’s "Vamps," starring Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter as a pair of sexy vampires.

Come to think of it, maybe Aniston should give herself a career transfusion by auditioning for a role in the latter.
