There's nothing quite like a good movie poster. You know what we mean. While many posters barely make an impression at all, merely presenting the stars and the title, sometimes you come across a movie poster that just grabs your imagination. Once you see it, you just have to go see the movie as well.
Which is fine — if those movies actually existed.
Michael Peña, the dark and handsome thesp most recently seen in comedies like "Observe and Report" and "30 Minutes or Less," is returning to his (more) dramatic roots.
He just landed the lead role in the upcoming Cesar Chavez biopic, the brainchild of Diego Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal and Pablo Cruz. (In other words, a lot of big players are throwing their hats in this ring).
According to Collider, Peña joins America Ferrera, who will play the revolutionary's wife, and Rosario Dawson, who will portray Dolores Huerta, Chavez's partner in activism and co-founder of what eventually became the United Farm Workers. It's inevitable. Someday, there will be a series of biopics about some of our favorite reality stars. Some will be comedies (ahem, "Jersey Shore" -- see their casting thoughts here and here), some will be tragedies (we're lookin' at you, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt) and some will be filled with the intricacies needed of a serious actor.
We're talking about Kim Kardashian, obviously.
When we spoke to her about this at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, she didn't have to think about it before throwing out her casting suggestion.
"Eva Longoria - I love her," she declared.
We have to confess we're a little impressed. Despite the age difference, that might not be a bad call. What do you think?
Hot on the heels of the trailer for the new "Winnie the Pooh" movie comes the teaser for "Winnie," a biopic of Winnie Mandela, former wife of South African president Nelson Mandela. And, though there are no Pooh bears in sight, it certainly is a hunny of a story.
Jennifer Hudson has landed herself another dream role, as the film charts Winnie's life from infancy to key figure in the fight to end apartheid. Get More »
