Now, however, there's finally a brand new top films list from a source you can trust: Quentin Tarantino.
And as you might expect, this one contains more than a few surprises. Forget "The Descendants" or "My Week with Marilyn." How about "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" and "The Three Musketeers" instead? Get More »
As the year draws to an end, we can't help but reflect on all the memorable movies and stand out performances of 2011. But nothing made our hearts skip a collective beat like the actors who scorched up the big screen with their scintillating romances this year.
Whether it was teen newlyweds who brought new meaning to the idea of everlasting love, best friends who finally gave in to their undeniable feelings or superheroes who couldn't resist the magnetic pull of attraction, these couples had it bad for each other, and we for them. Take a look at the 20 sexiest cinematic couples of 2011.
Since computers took over the traditionally hand-painted posters that graced movie lobbies over the last two decades, things have taken an artistic slide. But there is still a crop of truly awesome, borderline iconic imagery being produced by studios to sell their movies.
We're counting down the best and brightest of this year's slick one-sheets. Generic floating Photoshop heads? Not in this bunch.
The thing about Hollywood is that it's totally filled with really hot people. And, most of the time, they're looking really hot.
Needless to say, this makes our jobs really fun and easy. When we put together our weekly Hot People Looking Hot galleries, we pretty much have a choice of any star and every photo taken of them.
But, seeing as it's the end of the year and all, we figured it might be extra fun to stroll down memory lane at a full year of said galleries and über-attractive peeps. Won't you join us?
2011 was a big year at the box office, with massive blockbusters ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2"), emotional performances ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2") and instant classics ("Harry Potter and ..." oh, you get it) all converging to make this one of the most intriguing cinematic years in recent memory.
But as big as the year was at the theater, many of this year's biggest stories weren't on screen at all, but rather behind the scenes. Hollywood controversies, shocking deaths and studio intrigue provided just some of the surprising and unforgettable headlines that helped shape the year in film. With that in mind, then, here's a look at some of the stories from 2011 that you'll be talking about for years to come. Get More »
Posters and trailers aren't the only things that get our blood pumping and force us to whip out our calendars and schedule a trip to the movie theaters.
Sometimes it's those sexy, sexy photos from the movies the studios release.
Now, before you protest, don't go acting like Brooklyn Decker's yellow bikini didn't force you to grab a cold glass of water. And we know those pictures of Bella and Edward rolling in the hay and canoodling by a waterfall sent you into a tizzy.
Don't worry. We were right there with you. And we were inspired to compile a whole gallery of the best of the best. Or, should we say the sexiest of the sexiest?
It was the year Harry Potter ended, the Muppets returned, Ryan Gosling drove, Apes rose, Matt Damon bought a zoo, and a bunch of raunchy Bridesmaids made us pee our pants (or wedding dresses) laughing.
Yeah, we're pretty happy with you, 2011 movies.
As for counting down the best of the best, we're happy/relieved to report that coming to an in-house consensus was pretty easy, and entirely non-violent. And our number one pick? Even easier to decide. Get More »
As we established in our list of the 25 Best Movies of 2011, it was a pretty damn good year at the multiplexes.
But in what you are about to read below, well, there is no "good."
We narrowed down a bigger list of the year's most craptastic movies (we'll get you next time, "Sucker Punch," "The Dilemma" and "Beastly") to bring you the 5 very worst of the worst. Get More »

Whether you want to journey to a galaxy far, far away, immerse yourself in Middle-earth or just have a great laugh, there's something for everyone on disc this holiday season.
Many of the 15 gift items listed include the DVD, Blu-ray and a digital copy -- so the movie you buy can play on a variety of gadgets, including computers, tablets and other portable devices. To sweeten the pot, many of these sets come bundled with books, lobby cards, figurines or limited-edition packaging that make Internet piracy a cheap (and lame) imitation.
We don't know if you've been naughty this year, but any of these discs would look nice wrapped with a bow.
