Armie Hammer to Tower Over Tom Cruise for 'Man from U.N.C.L.E.'

Tom Cruise is considered a shorty by Hollywood's definition — he's 5-foot-7, which is pretty near to average for us normies — while Armie Hammer is ridiculously tall by any standard outside the NBA (an intimidating six-foot-five). That's almost a whole foot height differential, son, and now the two are set to co-lead a movie side by side.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Hammer has just fee-fi-fo-fummed his way into the second lead in Guy Ritchie's cinematic reboot of the Cold War era TV show "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Get More »

Crazy Horseplay on Display in New 'Lone Ranger' Trailer

Wow. We didn't know horses could do that ... even CG horses.

The final trailer for Disney's "The Lone Ranger" showcases what is most definitely a "Pirates of the Caribbean"-sized adventure, one that hopes to transcend its troubled production and controversial casting by doing what Disney does best: putting on the biggest show in town.

And "The Lone Ranger" certainly looks big. Our hero (Armie Hammer) is dead even before Jerry Bruckheimer's logo shows up and resurrected mere frames later as the masked man who teams up with Tonto to ... uh, ride around on horses and leap onto trains and blow up bridges, apparently. Yeah, it looks like a bunch of chaos, but in true Disney style, it's damn classy-looking chaos. Heigh Ho!

Check out the new trailer, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "The Lone Ranger" rides into theaters on July 3.

Armie Hammer and Teresa Palmer 'Cut Bank' and Run

Armie Hammer's all-American appeal has lent itself to plenty of princely roles, from media royalty the Winklevii to Snow White's dashing hero, but it looks like this good boy is about to go bad.

Deadline reports that Hammer is set to star alongside "I Am Number Four" star Teresa Palmer in crime thriller "Cut Bank," scheduled to start production this fall. The film, penned by "Prime Suspect" writer Roberto Patino, will mark the feature directorial debut for Matt Shakman, who honed his skills on small-screen hits, including "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Six Feet Under" and "Mad Men." 'Mirror Mirror' on the Wall, Who's the Most Fashionable of Them All?

Thanks to visionary director Tarsem Singh, we're getting a brightly-colored spin on the classic Snow White tale with "Mirror Mirror."

And, with Julia Roberts as The Queen, Lily Collins as Snow White and Armie Hammer as Prince Alcott, you know those bright colors are coming in the form of set design and, of course, fashion. From bouffant gowns to Elizabethan-influenced clothing, we were entranced by the costumes and couldn't help but wonder what the modern-day fairytale characters would wear.

Alas, our latest Get the Goods can help you realize our visions (and sketch out your shopping list).

You'll Find 7 Dwarfs in These 6 'Mirror Mirror' Clips

Julia Roberts and Lily Collins in Mirror Mirror
Relativity Media

Director Tarsem Singh has traded the savage mythic bloodletting of "Immortals" for a sweetly Grimm fairy tale in "Mirror Mirror."

Lily Collins is the fair Snow White, weaving a spell of beauty and enchantment in her wake, while Julia Roberts is the evil queen hellbent on shoveling some Snow. This unabashedly kid-friendly retelling costars Armie Hammer as the Prince who hearts Snow White, and Sean Bean once again playing a game of thrones as The King.

First Look: Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in 'The Lone Ranger'

Disney

We've got just one thing to say about the first photo from the upcoming film "The Lone Ranger:" Hi-yo, Captain Jack Sparrow! Away!

Not that this is the latest mashup from Seth Grahame-Smith or anything — though we'd love to see "Cowboys and Indians and Pirates" — but once you get a look at Johnny Depp as Tonto in this picture, you'll have to agree that some of the spirit of old Captain Jack is definitely present. Get More »

Armie Hammer in the Slammer After Learning Lesson on Possession

Seems one of our most industrious hammers (Armie Hammer) was nailed recently for pot possession, and it was dogs that put the bite on him.

TMZ is reporting that the actor known for playing goodie-goodies Clyde Tolson in "J. Edgar" and the Winklevoss twins in "Social Network" was caught red-handed back on November 30th by members of the Texas border patrol and their drug-sniffing dog.

Coincidentally, rapper Snoop Dogg had the hammer brought down on him by the very same dogs in the very same small border town, Sierra Blanca, as did chronic Mary Jane aficionado Willie Nelson. "Fool me once shame on… dude, how's the rest of that go? *toke*" Get More »

Armie Hammer Signs Up for 'By Virtue Fall' with Eric Bana

That dapper Armie Hammer is one good-looking chameleon.

He turned himself into twins for "The Social Network" and aged several decades for a good part of the Oscar bait-y "J. Edgar," although, admittedly, he doesn't look a bit Grimm as Prince Andrew in Tarsem Singh's "Mirror Mirror," which is currently in post-production. He's currently hiding behind the mask of "The Lone Ranger" with Johnny Depp as his Tonto, but once that wraps, he's got another surprise up his sleeve. Get More »

Snow White Does Slapstick in 'Mirror, Mirror' Trailer

Mirror, Mirror
Relativity Media

We don't think "Snow White and the Huntsman" has anything to worry about.

We figured "Immortals" director Tarsem Singh would be taking something of a lighter approach to his Snow White movie as compared to the other Snow White movie currently in the works (the one featuring Kristen Stewart in body armor), but we weren't quite prepared for the door-slamming shenanigans featured in the "Mirror, Mirror" trailer.
