Q&A: 'For a Good Time, Call...' Ari Graynor
Although Ari Graynor got her start more than a decade ago in heavier dramatic roles in "The Sopranos" and "Mystic River," more recently the 29-year-old actress has been tickling our funny bones. She played Caroline, Norah's alcoholic best friend, in "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" and improvised an entire scene at a bus station where her character talks to a stranger.
Now Graynor stars in the raunchy-sweet R-rated comedy "For a Good Time, Call…," in which her free-spirited Katie reluctantly agrees to share rent with Lauren (Lauren Anne Miller), a girl she fell out with minutes after meeting in college years ago. Lauren discovers that Katie makes good money as a phone-sex operator and soon the odd couple bonds over building a successful business together.
In real life, Graynor is just as effervescent as her "For a Good Time, Call…" character. She chatted us up about phone sex, the revival of female-centric comedies post-"Bridesmaids" and why you shouldn't believe everything you read about her on the Internet. Get More »
'10 Years' Trailer Features Even More Channing Tatum
Channing Tatum must be some kind of time traveler, because he seems to put out more hot movies than the rest of Hollywood combined. This year alone he's already headlined three of Hollywood's biggest surprise hits, "The Vow," "21 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike." So he's probably ready for a well earned vacation, right?
Nah, of course not. Instead, he's got a brand new trailer for yet another movie coming out this fall, "10 Years."
Because that's how long it would take a normal star to make this many big films. Get More »
'For A Good Time, Call...' This Hilarious Trailer
Two mismatched roommates, trying to make it in the big city. Yeah, it sounds like about a dozen different sitcoms. But this time around, "For A Good Time, Call..." adds a new twist to that age-old premise that you won't be seeing during prime time any time soon: Those roommates are running a phone sex company together out of their apartment.
And now you'll finally get to find out just how Justin Long got his last name. Get More »
Trailer: Colin Hanks Gets 'Lucky' (in the Murderous Sense)
It was recently announced that Colin Hanks would join the murderous cable hit "Dexter" for its sixth season, but few people realize Hanks has already dabbled in murder. Of blondes, specifically.
The new trailer for the oddball comedy "Lucky" showcases Hanks' darkest side -- which ends up resulting in a little bloodshed. His character Ben starts off down in the dumps, but after winning the lottery, everything he's been looking for falls on to his lap. He's made million, won the girl of his dreams (an obnoxious receptionist played by Ari Graynor) and, most importantly, found a way to indulge in his favorite past time: murder. Get More »
Emma Roberts and More Believe in 'Celeste and Jesse Forever'
"Celeste and Jesse Forever" just got a boost of staying power.
Emma Roberts, Chris Messina and Ari Graynor have officially joined the cast of the indie dramedy, which stars Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg as a young couple trying to remain friends as they go through a (predictably) messy divorce.
As the story unfolds, Celeste turns to a financial analyst, played by Messina, to help her get over Jesse — a relationship that Celeste's best friend, played by Graynor, warns her against, Variety reports.
Roberts enters the picture as a young starlet with some weighty PR issues who hires Celeste to revamp her image. Get More »
