Katie Holmes in Talks for Reboot of Chekhov's 'The Seagull'

Remember back in high school when you didn't read Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull" even though it was assigned to you over and over again?

Well, now you can make up for lost time thanks to Christian Camargo's ambitious plans to reboot this literary classic. No, really, you might actually be interested this go-round.

That's because Camargo (best known for his killer role in season one of "Dexter") is gearing up to make his directorial debut (from a script he also wrote) with a retelling of Chekhov's most famous play that puts Katie Holmes front-and-center. If the negotiations go through, Mrs. Tom Cruise Holmes will star alongside other Hollywood heavyweights including William Hurt, Allison Janney, Russell Means, Jean Reno, Mark Rylance and Juliet Rylance.
