'The Butler' Trailer is Here to Serve You
If there was ever a more ambitious film than "The Butler," we have yet to discover it.
"Precious" director Lee Daniels efforts to recapitulate — through the real-life eyes of a lone, stolid White House butler — pretty much the entire twentieth century as it related to the American Civil Rights Movement. With a cast list that reads like a flat-out roll call for the Walk of Fame, Daniels presents the working life of Cecil Gaines (real name: Eugene Allen), a man who served eight consecutive U.S. presidents during his career and witnessed history being made first-hand.

Alex Pettyfer and Gus Van Sant Get Sexy With 'Fifty Shades' Scene

There have been several names floating around as the potential director of "Fifty Shades of Grey," the erotic bestseller by E.L. James that chronicles the sinfully wicked sexual adventures of college student Anastasia Steele and mysterious billionaire Christian Grey. While none of the would-be candidates (such has Angelina Jolie) seem to have any interest in the project, there's one filmmaker who's bound and determined to score the gig for himself: Gus Van Sant.

The "Magic Mike" star is getting dressed and heading out for his new gig as he joins Kristen Stewart in the '90s-style thriller, "Cali," according to Variety.
"Cali" tells the Tarantino-esque tale of Mya (Stewart) and Chris (Pettyfer), two lovebirds who skip town with a bundle of cash after selling a fake snuff film. In the latest movie ladies are screaming over, "Magic Mike," Mike (Channing Tatum) is an entrepreneur and aspiring custom furniture designer by day, and an exotic, headlining dancer by night. As Mike takes 19-year-old Adam (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing, he meets Adam's sister, Brooke (Cody Horn) and is smitten. Unfortunately, Mike has to prove to Brooke that he's "not his lifestyle" and that there's more to him than his smoldering looks and sexy body (about time those tables were turned, right girls?).

Sorry, everyone — the men of "Magic Mike" didn't wear their costumes (or lack of them) to their big Hollywood premiere.
Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and other "adult entertainers" kept it all on as they walked the red carpet in celebration of director Steven Soderbergh's modern-day fable about male strippers. While not much skin was shown, there were still plenty of prime photo ops.
