Bradley Cooper Has 'Bad Blood and Trouble'
Bradley Cooper has signed on for one of the best-titled crime thrillers ever.
The "Hangover" star is looking to do some time as he's joined the crew of director J. Blakeson's new job, "Bad Blood and Trouble," according to Variety.
"Bad Blood and Trouble" is a '50s-set noir tale that follows a Miami detective (Cooper) who falls in love with a married woman whose husband is threatened by criminals. The film marks Blakeson's follow-up to his impressive feature debut, the unsettling kidnapping thriller "The Disappearance of Alice Creed." Get More »
Clint Wants Cruise For 'A Star Is Born'
Tom Cruise is really feeling the music lately -- and might just keep on rockin'.
The "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" star is the latest actor to be courted for the lead role in the seemingly impossible-to-cast remake of "A Star is Born," according to Deadline.
Cruise is getting good early buzz for his turn as an aging Axl Rose-ish rock star in this summer's film adaptation of the Broadway musical, "Rock of Ages," and apparently he's in talks with director Clint Eastwood to play a different kind of over-the-hill musician (one with not as much hair, anyway). Beyonce's Upcoming Baby Affects 'A Star Is Born'
Last night at the VMAs, soul sister Beyonce made it known that she has a bun in the over with hubby Jay-Z — an announcement that will affect more than just the happy couple.
Production on Clint Eastwood's reboot of "A Star Is Born," which tells the story of a has-been rock star who falls in love with an up-and-coming songstress, was slated to begin as early as February of 2012, but with Beyonce expecting, that start date will need to be pushed back.
This may be a blessing in disguise, since the powers that be are still on the prowl for their perfect leading man. Get More »
Beyoncé and Clint Eastwood Team Up For 'A Star Is Born'
Wow. Just... wow.
In what might be the most unexpected (and perhaps most exciting) piece of movie-related news of the year so far, Deadline brings word that Clint Eastwood and Beyoncé are joining forces to bring that old musical chestnut, "A Star Is Born," into the 21st century.
This will be the fourth big-screen version of the story about a former matinee idol who falls in love with a young actress on the rise. The 1937 version starred Fredric March and Janet Gaynor; the 1954 version starred James Mason and Judy Garland; and the (rather notorious) 1976 version starred Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand (and Gary Busey!).
