The only preannounced award at Sunday night's (January 13) Golden Globes, Jodie Foster's Cecil B. Demille Award for a lifetime of achievement, made a very unexpected turn when the Academy Award-winning actress and director took an opportunity to address her life-long struggles with living in the public eye, especially when it comes to her sexuality.

After an introduction from Robert Downey Jr., Foster's speech began with a high-energy "Saturday Night Live" quote. "I'm 50! I'm 50!" she shouted triumphantly. Get More »

Golden Globes Drinking Game: Bottoms Up!

Awards season: It's a time for us to come together and celebrate our favorite artists. It's a time for us to parade our nerdy know-how and feel superior ("What, you haven't seen "Amour"?).

Most of all, it's a time to toss back some stiff drinks with good friends.

The Golden Globes ceremony is the only major awards show that offers its attendees — the best and brightest of film and television — a sit-down dinner and an open bar, making it one of the more hilarious televised events of the year. Where else can you see a shwasted starlet, a famed director picking bits of spinach salad out of his teeth and Lena Dunham's boobs? (They're everywhere these days.)

It seems only right that us plebeians watching from home get in on the fun and bend a few elbows ourselves. Get More »

Well, we just got about a thousand times more excited about next year's Golden Globes.

The producers of the awards ceremony have apparently decided the show needs a woman's touch as Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are set to co-host the 70th Annual Golden Globes, according to Deadline.

The lady comedians will be taking over the gig from Ricky Gervais, who hosted the awards show the past three years (often to much morning-after controversy due to his particularly unpredictable and confrontational style of comedy). Get More »
