It's the show that reminds us that MTV used to air nothing but music videos, 24 hours a day (ah, 1981!).

The 2012 Video Music Awards brought many famous faces to the Staples Center in Los Angeles, as Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, Zoe Saldana, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jackson Rathbone and many more killers of the radio star all walked the red carpet in celebration of a medium that is, for many, the last bastion of "experimental film."
