'Twilight,' 'Hunger Games' Share Popcorn at MTV Movie Awards

The biggest party of the year took place last night and the biggest winner at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards was "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -Part 1" which beat out fan favorites "The Hunger Games" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" to take home the award for Movie of the Year.

As many predicted, "The Hunger Games" also had a strong showing, winning Best Female Performance for Jennifer Lawrence's take on Katniss Everdeen, Best Male Performance for Josh Hutcherson's Peeta Mellark and Best Fight for the duo's tangle with Alexander Ludwig's malevolent Cato. "The Hunger Games" co-star Elizabeth Banks, meanwhile, won Best On-Screen Transformation for her turn as the flamboyant Effie Trinket. Get More »

'Bridesmaids' Play 'The Hunger Games' in Epic Trailer Mashup

This Sunday, two movies will enter the MTV Movie Awards Arena. Only one will survive.

Actually, this trailer mashup has given us a new appreciation for just how epic and dangerous Annie's (Kristen Wiig) task as the maid of honor in "Bridesmaids" really was. Sure, Katniss' life was at stake at all times in "The Hunger Games," but Annie's journey was a pretty perilous one, too — especially on the plane to Vegas.

Donald Sutherland sets the ominous tone as both "Bridesmaids" and "The Hunger Games" fight for a Golden Popcorn Award on Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
