It should come as no surprise that Luc Besson (director of "The Professional" and "Le Femme Nikita") was behind the screenplay to this femme fatale tale of a wronged girl turned vengeful assassin. No doubt the producers saw Saldana's sick moves in "The Losers" and recognized her potential to carry an action film all by herself.
