Sandra Bullock In Talks to Play Ryan Reynolds's... Mom?!

Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock were so darn cute together in the hit 2009 romcom "The Proposal" that it was just a matter of time before they reunited. The big question was, what kind of project would they pick? Another romantic comedy? Maybe a high speed action thriller? Or a futuristic sci-fi horror film about vampires fighting robots? The sky seemed to be the limit.

But no matter how outlandish the suggestions, we're guessing few people got this one right: According to Deadline, Reynolds and Bullock may be reuniting for a animated television series -- with Reynolds as one of the writers. Okay then.

Here's the dilly in a nutshell: Along with new creative partner Allan Loeb (the writer behind gems like "The Dilemma" and "The Switch"), Reynolds is writing an animated pilot for Fox titled "And Then There Was Gordon," where he will provide the voice of an average kid whose family happens to be a bunch of geniuses. Bullock, meanwhile, is in negotiations to come aboard as the voice of his mom.

Okay, so that's not quite as hot as "The Proposal." Still, the idea of Reynolds writing his own cartoon has a certain charm. And despite the fact that they'll be voicing a mother-son duo, Reynolds-Bullock shippers still have some good news on the horizon, as the pair is also getting ready to reunite with the "The Proposal" writer Pete Chiarelli and director Anne Fletcher for the new feature "Most Wanted."

Bullock and Reynolds. Mother and son. It takes a little while to get used to, but anything is possible in the crazy world of animation.

OK, Ryan, we get it. You're a badass, at least in "Safe House."
