The Scoop: (1987) There's no spoof like a Mel Brooks spoof and this send-up of "Star Wars" and everything sci-fi is the ultimate proof. A quarter of a century after Moranis darkly intoned the line "I see your Schwartz is as big as mine," the film continues to provide new generations with counter-culture catchphrases. All we can say is, keep firing, assholes!

Hackman stars as the coach of a small town Indiana high school basketball team. But while their school may be tiny, their hearts are huge, which explains how they manage to (spoilers!) win the state title. Hooray!

Elevated by classic music by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, "West Side Story" is one of the most beloved musicals in American history.

"Platoon" won the Best Picture and Best Director Oscars.

The Scoop: (1990) The film celebrates its 20th with this special edition Blu-ray jammed with everything you wanted to know about Costner's epic ode to the old west. Costner won Best Director and was nominated for Best Actor for his role as an Army lieutenant who becomes an honorary Native American just in time for Uncle Sam to blow the entire culture all to hell. The movie, packed with breathtaking vistas, won seven Oscars total, including Best Picture and Best Cinematography.

Van Dyke stars as an inventor who first creates a magical candy and then a magical story that thrusts him, his children a love interest into a crazy fantasyland complete with a magic car called Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
