Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudiekis make a run for the border.

Some movies pretty much just sell themselves. And that's the case with "We're the Millers," which features the comedy team of Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston as a couple of hapless nobodies who get roped into becoming international drug smugglers.

But just in case you aren't sold on that description alone, don't worry, we've also got both the regular and red band trailers right here to convince you, courtesy of YouTube.

Hey, you know what they say: A picture is worth a thousand words.

And in this case, it's also worth $100,000, which is the amount crazy businessman Ed Helms offers Sudeikis' low level dope dealer to bring back a truckload of prime hashish from Mexico. That in turn prompts a brilliant plan: With the help of a stripper acquaintance (that's Aniston! Thank you, lord!) and a couple of mismatched ragamuffins (Emma Roberts and Will Poulter), they'll just pretend to be a family taking a good old fashioned family vacation. In an old fashioned RV full of pot.

So it's basically like "Natural Born Killers" except with Willie Nelson jokes instead of decapitations, not to mention half the cast of "Horrible Bosses." See, what did we tell you? This movie practically sells itself!

"We're the Millers" is set to hit theaters on August 9, but you can check out all the NSFW fun right now thanks to these hot new trailers. Enjoy.

The Jersey Shore's Don Juan wannabe has revealed himself ... and his hands are full, in a manner of speaking.

No need to adjust your screen; this is not, we repeat, not the "Jersey Shore" ... although we totally get it why someone might be confused for a sec. There is a very "GTL"-esque vibe going down when the titular <del>guido</del> character in Joseph Gordon-Levitt's "Don Jon" repeatedly declares, "there's only a few things I really care about in life: my body, my pad, my ride, my family, my church, my boys, my girls and my porn." Well, alright then.

Gordon-Levitt, in his writer-directorial debut, stars as a twenty-something New Jersey bachelor who's got a very skewed view of romance thanks to his frequency of adult website visits. He somehow meets the girl of his naughty dreams in Scarlett Johansson's gum-smacking Barbara, but she's got the opposite problem of him — she's been conditioned to think of relationships as all kissing in the rain and slurping up a shared spaghetti noodle to a live rendition of "This is the Night" ... you get the gist.

So, imagine her surprise when she waltzes in on her Mr. Jon (a rather unsubtle digital-age derivation of the legendary lady libertine Don Juan, yet not nearly as smooth) engaging in his favorite solo pastime. Ruh roh. Both will need to reevaluate their own expectations and understandings of the opposite sex if anything is to improve, but whether D.J. boy will even bother is a big question mark indeed.

"Don Jon," which originally debuted at Sundance, with this little move and rockin' selfie by Gordon-Levitt, will hit theaters on Oct. 18.

The first trailer for a movie where Vince Vaughn fathers 533 children (ick)

It's every low-budget independent filmmaker's first thought after completing a movie doomed for film festival obscurity (or worse): Man, if only we could have remade that, but had like a billion more dollars and big time movie stars instead of whatever yahoos we cast in this thing. Well, dreams really do come true. At least if you're French-Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott, who got to remake his 2011 film "Starbuck" (itself a loose remake of a Hindi movie called "Vicky Donor") as "The Delivery Man," only this time bankrolled by DreamWorks and featuring a cast that includes Vince Vaughn, Cobie Smulders and Chris Pratt. Not too shabby, Ken Scott! The first teaser has dropped (courtesy of Fandango via The Film Stage) and while there isn't a whole lot of footage to go on, we still giggled. You heard us. Giggled.

The premise is set up in the first few moments of the trailer: many children have one thing in common: Vince Vaughn, King of the Schlubs, is their father. "You are the biological father of 533 children," some lawyer-type tells Vaughn. Apparently there was a mix up at the fertility clinic and the kids are now suing to learn his identity. Chris Pratt apparently plays Vaughn's attorney, who advises him to say that he has mental problems. And that's pretty much the whole teaser. Still: we giggled.

Apparently while all of the madness with the kids is going on, Vaughn's girlfriend (who we assume is Smulders), is trying to decide whether or not they should start a family. So, really, kookiness from all sides coming at this guy. It's been a while since Vaughn was truly, side-splittingly funny and we still have recurring nightmares about "The Dilemma" (why Ron Howard? Why?), but it looks like "The Delivery Man," besides being burdened with a truly awful title, could be pretty great.

"The Delivery Man" opens on November 22nd this year. Bring your favorite illegitimate child and get half-off the price of your ticket (we're bringing Jon Snow).

This new 'Man of Steel' trailer raises the stakes quite a bit.

What's at stake when it comes to the "Man of Steel"? The entire frickin' planet, got that?

The latest trailer for Zack Snyder's Superman rendition serves up one murky and otherworldly transmission to inform all the Lois Lanes of the world that their so-called Clark Kent is actually a mega-dangerous extraterrestrial by the name of Kal-El.

"My name is General Zod," the ever-creepy voice of Michael Shannon booms. "I have journeyed across an ocean of stars to reach you. Your world has sheltered one of our citizens. He will look like you, but he is not one of you. To those of you who know of his location, the fate of your planet rests in your hansd. To Kal-El, I say this: surrender within twenty-four hours or watch this world suffer the consequences."

Talk about your grim message from the beyond.

The previous trailers have lent focus to some of Clark Kent's own journeys in discovering his super strength, but this new one offers up some really sick new CGI-y stuffs, like this one of an exceptionally handsome Henry Cavill becoming the big blue boy scout ...

... and this beast of a fight scene.

Most importantly, Mr. Kent comes to learn that just by being a part of Earth, he threatens to destroy it. Decisions, decisions.

So, yeah. Let's just say, we'll be looking forward to this one when it soars into theaters on June 14.

Sometimes teen moms aren't so happy when their kids become teens.

In real life, Claire Danes is probably a fantasmically excellent mother. However, her character in this new trailer for "As Cool As I Am" needs a 'lil help.

Fellow junkies of the "My So-Called Life" series — which, seriously, how in the world was that show just one season? — will remember a younger Danes as the sullen Angela Chase, dying her hair (much to her mother's chagrin) and desperately trying to find herself a comfy corner in the universe while hoping above all hope that the hot guitar guy at school might one day pay her just an ounce of attention. Ah, hormones.

Cut back to the present, and Danes is on the receiving end of all that angst ... and deservedly so.

"Cool" features Claire Danes and James Marsden as a former pair who got preggers while still just teenagers. Under the pressure of a shotgun-wielding elder of some sort, no doubt, the two got married and tried to make it last, but as these things go it didn't work out and the poor kid (Sarah Bolger) finds herself living smack dab in the middle of a mess.

A mom who forgets the girl's sixteenth birthday and wears clothes that'd make a call girl blush; a dad who begrudges his lot in life and believes he's sacrificed it all on her behalf ... Yeah, definitely no fun being Lucy Diamond. On the bright side, she does still have all the traditional trappings of teenagedom and has smooching on the brain. So, there are distractions from all the familial turmoil at bay as well.

We get the feeling mother and daughter'll wind up having one of these moments somewhere along the line, just for the sake of full circularity.

"As Cool As I Am," directed by Max Mayer, hits theaters on June 21.

After several so-so clips, "The Wolverine" finally puts it all together in this badass trailer.

Ever have one of those dreams where you're totally macking on this hot mutant, only then it turns out she's dead, mainly because you killed her with your huge metal claws, and then you wake up and it's all some sort of uncomfortable metaphor?

Man, we hate it when that happens. Except when it happens in the new YouTube trailer for "The Wolverine." Then it's totally awesome.

Yes, folks, the July 26 release of the somewhat anticipated new Hugh Jackman superhero epic "The Wolverine" is fast approaching, but 20th Century Fox isn't taking anything for granted. That's why they've put out a new trailer that takes all the teasers we've seen to date and combines them into one uber-clip that finally makes the movie actually look pretty cool.

Which it should. After all, this latest installment in the ongoing "X-Men" franchise takes place after the events of the much maligned 2006 trilogy-capper "X-Men: The Last Stand," meaning Wolverine is in full angst mode after killing Jean Grey. And how does one deal with such things? Why, by heading to Japan to face off against hot ninja women, creepy old yakuza scientists and giant killer samurai robots.

So check it out. Because it may be a nightmare for Logan, but it's a dream come true for fanboys everywhere. At last.

"Anchorman: The Legend Continues" will host a slew of bizarro celebrity cameos — everyone from Kristen Wiig to Kanye West to Nicole Kidman, so pretty much just everyone in show business — but as this latest teaser from the long-awaited sequel reminds, the ultimate centerpiece of this little shindig will be the one and only Channel 4 foursome.

Yep, San Diego's wackiest news quartet is back, ya'll, boots, ties and all.

And even though scripting, casting and filming has since taken place, teaser number two looks pretty much identical to the the first one we saw last year.

In it, Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner) and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) step forth together with a few choice words of intrigue to encourage viewers to tune in this December when they return to the big screen after almost a decade.

Rather than the sub-machine guns and boobies promised last time, this go-round offers up tales of perfect hair and liquor breath and, yes, s'more awkward Brick Tamland-isms like "always make sure the parents are around if you hug a child." It's actually good advice but yeah. Awks.

And what would an "Anchorman"-related video be without signing off the telecast with Ron Burgundy's catchphrase?

"Anchorman 2" will hit theaters on Dec. 20.

The latest "Hangover" ripoff features a star studded ensemble of old timey acting greatness.

So what would happen if you took "The Hangover" and replaced Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper with some of the greatest actors of the last half century? Well, as this new clip from Yahoo! Movies shows, you'd have the first trailer for the upcoming comedy "Last Vegas," that's what.

We can't wait to see what blatantly derivative "idea" Hollywood comes up with next.

Not that "Last Vegas" looks bad. Actually, it looks kind of interesting, based solely on the fact that it features Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline as a geriatric wolfpack out for one last weekend of crazy times before the old folks home comes to get them. Their excuse for their trip to Vegas? Bachelor party, naturally.

Of course, everybody loves a winning formula, so it's only natural that Hollywood is still churning out one "Hangover" ripoff after another, from "Last Vegas" ("The Hangover" with old people!) to "21 and Over" ("The Hangover" with young people!) to "Bridesmaids" ("The Hangover," only good!) to "The Hangover Part III" ("The Hangover," only we just don't even know why any more!).

But seriously, when we think of all the great things a cast like this could do... sigh. Oh well. If this is their last big screen go-round together, at least we'll always have Vegas.

Could July 12th hurry up already? Ever since that footage at Comic-Con last year, we've been filled with the same kind of geeky giddiness for "Pacific Rim" that we can imagine Guillermo del Toro has been spreading all over edit bays while assembling what could very likely be an action masterpiece.

Warner Bros. has unleashed the full trailer for "Pac Rim" (hey, if that store in the mall can be abbreviated to "Pac Sun"...) today and it's filled with exactly what we wanted to see: big Shogun Warrior style robots piloted by a biker from SAMCRO and other soldiers fighting Godzilla style monsters. Charlie Hunnam, aka Jax Teller from "Sons of Anarchy" (and almost Thor in the Marvel movies) gets the exposition out of the way in a tasty voice over, setting up the premise for what this movie is all about: a future where humans operate huge robots to battle giant alien monsters. Hunnam's TV step-father/chief rival and frequent del Toro collaborator Ron Perlman is also part of the "Pac Rim" awesome-fest, too.

The trailer is full of more action than we've seen previously. This thing looks huge and refreshingly un-video-game-y. Guillermo knows how to direct CGI action like a champion. The movie also stars Idris Elba and Charlie Day.

Vin Diesel returns to the franchise that made him a household name...no, the OTHER franchise.

First off: yes, the 'Riddick' franchise, which began with 2000's pleasingly grungy "Pitch Black" and continued, into a more opaque fantasy realm with 2004's "Chronicles of Riddick," is still alive and well. For some reason.

In the series, Vin Diesel plays the titular mercenary, who has had his eyes "shined" so he can see in the dark (which is apparently a problem in the future, maybe because everyone is out in space). He's such a badass that in the opening moments of the trailer for the third film, simply called "Riddick" (just Riddick, it's cleaner), he grabs a dragon by the throat. Note to dragons everywhere: don't mess with Vin Diesel.

After the dragon-choking (wait, what?), the rest of the trailer sets up the basic plot for "Riddick," as much as there is one. A band of lethal bounty hunters, it seems, has been tracking Riddick and located him on a sparsely furnished Canadian soundstage, complete with incredibly fake-looking styrofoam rocks. They've got him locked up and are about to behead him (keeping with the rules of space law) when — whoops — a bunch of nasty monsters show up and they have to let Riddick go so he can help them survive. The movie is rated R so the monsters will probably eat people up pretty graphically, which should be cool.

The plot is almost undistinguishable from the original "Pitch Black," not that that is necessarily a bad thing. But the whole thing has a budget, direct-to-basic-cable vibe that could either be highly enjoyable or pretty painful. This new movie was written and directed by franchise stalwart David Twohy, and has a cast that includes Katie Sakhoff (from "Battlestar Galactica"), Karl Urban (who was also in "Chronicles of Riddick," wow we really don't remember that movie), Jordi Molla, and, for some reason, pop star Keri Hilson. Man, if she does some kind of "Skyfall"-style theme song for "Riddick," then we'd really be in business.

"Riddick" opens on September 6th. Again: it is rated R.

"Harry Potter's" Domhnall Gleeson is a lovesick time traveler in the new rom-com "About Time."

It's an age old question, debated by sages and philosophers for centuries: What would happen if you put "Harry Potter" stars Bill Nighy and Domhnall Gleeson together in a time travel caper? And now, thanks to The Telegraph, we finally know the answer: You'd get the first trailer for the new indie rom-com "About Time."

You would also get solid confirmation of Rachel McAdams' time travel fetish.

McAdams, you may recall, played the spouse of a time traveler in the aptly named romance "The Time Traveler's Wife." And this time around she is again being wooed by a chronally challenged suitor, namely Domhnall Gleeson, who is probably best known to most fans as Bill Weasley from the "Harry Potter" films.

Which also makes this a bit of a reunion, as Nighy — who plays Gleeson's doting dad and mentor in timefoolery — is also a "Potter" alum, having memorably portrayed doomed Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour.

So will the two make movie magic once again in "About Time?" Check out the new trailer and see for yourself. And trust us: When it comes to your own timeline, this will be 2:28 well very spent.

"You think your world is safe? It is an illusion ... a comforting lie told to protect you. Enjoy these final moments of peace, for I have returned ... to have ... my ... vengeance."

So sayeth John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), the mystery villain of "Star Trek Into Darkness." And now, after months and months of agonizing, maddening theorizing and speculating, we're finally about to see just what sort of nefarious plan he has in store as J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" sequel is about to be unleashed to the public.

Take one last sneak peek at "Star Trek Into Darkness" above and get ready for one of the summer's most anticipated blockbusters to hit theaters on May 17 (or even May 16, if you're planning a little night-before excursion to your local theater). And live long and prosper, y'all!

Can James Franco turn one of America's best novels into a great movie? He just might.

What do you get when you combine one of America's most esteemed authors ever with James Franco? If your mind goes straight to the words "lengthy lecture," we hear ya but that's not it ... well, actually, maybe it is.

The first trailer for James Franco's directorial interpretation of William Faulkner's prized book "As I Lay Dying" is in, and, as one might expect, it's full of southerners and sunsets. In the Cannes-bound film, Franco stars as Darl Bundren, the son of a woman whose entire family sets off to fulfill her dying wish to be buried in a county forty miles away.Faulkner's story is told from more than a dozen intertwining points of view and ranks among the most celebrated American novels of the entire 20th century. The challenge of scripting it was nothing the James Franco couldn't handle, naturally.

As for the trailer, there aren't a lot of surprises here; the point and presentation is pretty straightforward: like most familial dramas, there are some dirty little secrets at bay (let's just say the dearly departed mama bear got around), and as it happens with group trips, things don't exactly go to plan for the Bundren brood on their little journey.

Like it or not, Franco's making his bid here for a permanent seat in the director's chair, and the vying might indeed pay off with "Dying." Not only is it the exact right cut of awards-style movie meat, but it also appears he might just pull this thing off.

ABC has officially picked up Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." television show and here's a first look at it.

For the past decade or so, critics and fans have put forth the theory that we are living in a new Golden Age of Television thanks to acclaimed shows like "The Sopranos," "The Wire," "Breaking Bad" and "Mad Men." But if that's the case, then it looks like we just got upgraded to the Diamond Age, because ABC has officially picked up the coolest TV show ever conceived, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

And thanks to YouTube, we've got the first promo spot right here.

Avengers, assemble!

Spinning directly out of the events of last summer's super blockbuster "The Avengers," "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." features Marvel Studios mainstay Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson. Faced with more and more new superpowered menaces — and heroes — Coulson and his team of highly trained secret agents form the last line of defense between us and the world of supermen.

Of course, fans might be curious to know just how Coulson is around to lead this team, considering he apparently died at the hands of Loki in "The Avengers." That information, unfortunately, is not really hinted at in the trailer. But considering the series pilot is directed by "Avengers" mastermind Joss Whedon, chances are "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." features plenty of cool Easter eggs designed to answer that question and many, many others as it ties together all the crazy strands of Marvel's big screen universe.

Now this is what we call real destination television.

The "Chronicle" star is building buzz with this Sundance favorite.

He may share one of the most famous names in pop culture, but Michael B. Jordan is well on his way to making a name for himself, thanks to critically acclaimed efforts like the Sundance Film Festival favorite "Fruitvale Station."

And thanks to Yahoo! Movies, we have the first trailer for it right here.

Winner of both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at this year's Sundance Festival, "Fruitvale Station" stars Jordan in the true story of Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Oakland man who was shot to death by police in 2009, sparking outrage and a national debate over police brutality.

The film has been generating major buzz, not just on the festival circuit but also among early Oscar watchers, thanks mostly to Jordan's breakout performance. If you can call it breakout, of course, considering he's already turned in breakout performances in "Chronicle," "Red Tails" and "Friday Night Lights." He's so hot, in fact, that he recently lit off an internet firestorm when word surfaced that he may play The Human Torch in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot.

All of that is in the future, of course. For now, check out the first trailer for "Fruitvale Station." And watch a star being born right before your eyes.

The first trailer for the star-studded ensemble "August: Osage County" has just arrived.

Let's face it, it sucks when people die. Except sometimes in the movie, because then it gives filmmakers an opportunity to put together an amazing ensemble cast for one of those big family dramas where everyone comes together and their shared grief causes them all to say a bunch of stuff nobody should probably say out loud.

Like, for instance, in the new Yahoo! trailer for "August: Osage County."

Hey, if someone has to die to give us a new Meryl Streep movie, then so be it.

Directed by John Wells, the force behind 2010's acclaimed drama "The Company Men," "August: Osage County" is an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name by Tracy Letts. It tells the story of a woman (that's Streep) coming to terms with the fact that her husband committed suicide.

That process is made significantly more complicated by the menagerie of family members and hangers on who show up for the funeral, including her partially estranged daughter (Julia Roberts) and her soon-to-be ex-husband (Ewan McGregor), her other daughters (Juliette Lewis and Julianne Nicholson) and a bunch of other folk (including Chris Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sam Shepard and Abigail Breslin among others).

In other words, it's a great story with an amazing all-star cast.

See? Death isn't always so bad after all.

Annnnd there goes any last sliver of interest we had in a romp outside Earth's atmosphere.

Houston, we have one heckuva problem.

The first teaser trailer for Alfonso Cuaron's "Gravity" dropped last night by way of Warner Bros. UK, and now we basically can't stop thinking about it (or dreaming about it).

In a nutshell, George Clooney stars in the film as a seasoned veteran of space wanderings who's guiding Sandra Bullock's medical engineer character on a routine little zero grav trek outside the ship while ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the wonderments of wonder ... until his upcoming retirement soiree gets cancelled indefinitely once a pile of debris knocks the pair of space stragglers loose from their ships. All the shudders.

So, yeah, spoiler alert: When it looks like there's a person floating off into nothingness there near the end of the teaser, that's exactly what's happening. Tack on the facts that they've lost radio contact with Earth and have a limited oxygen supply, and you have got yourself a pretty gnarly little nightmare.

We pegged this one as an early Oscar contender over a year ago, 'cause duh. Now we're thinkin' it'll be a box office runaway too. 'Cause who can resist watching this terrifying business unfold in 3D?

For those counting, according to our movie math so far, "Moon" + "Open Water" - "Jaws" = "Gravity."

The film will make a (safe) landing into U.S. theaters on Oct. 4.

Tom Hanks makes another Oscar bid as the oh-so-brave Captain Phillips.

Heads up, Academy voters. Hollywood's very favorite good guy is bringing it again.

This time, Tom Hanks stars as a real American hero in Paul Greengrass' "Captain Phillips," the gut-wrenching trailer for which is now in.

The film depicts the true story of Captain Richard Phillips, who was taken hostage by Somalian pirates in 2009 after they boarded and seized the U.S.-flagged and unarmed cargo ship Maersk Alabama. He'd surrendered himself to the vicious group in order to protect the nineteen crew members on board who were then able to hide from the ship's attackers. After a dramatic five day stand-off between the Somali pirates and the U.S. Navy, Seal Team snipers executed three of the captors and returned the captain to his family, safe and sound.

Put simply, this is one heck of a nationalistic story — 'Merica ya'll! — and Hanks certainly had his work cut out for him in bringing on-screen justice to the brave man. So, don't be too surprised if Daniel Day-Lewis soon gets some company with that three-peat Oscar distinction.

After all, it's been the better part of two decades since Hanks snagged up his little statues for becoming this AIDS-stricken crusader in "Philadelphia" ...

... and this happenstance historical event-hopper with the mind of a child.

It's probably about that time, then, right?

Billy Ray wrote the script based on Phillips' biographical book, "A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALS, and Dangerous Days at Sea," and the film will hit theaters on Oct. 11.

The true story of a man who served eight presidents and watched history happen with a front row seat. So, yeah, bring tissues.

If there was ever a more ambitious film than "The Butler," we have yet to discover it.

"Precious" director Lee Daniels efforts to recapitulate — through the real-life eyes of a lone, stolid White House butler — pretty much the entire twentieth century as it related to the American Civil Rights Movement. With a cast list that reads like a flat-out roll call for the Walk of Fame, Daniels presents the working life of Cecil Gaines (real name: Eugene Allen), a man who served eight consecutive U.S. presidents during his career and witnessed history being made first-hand.

The first trailer for "The Butler" has now been released, and boy oh boy are we impressed with all the acute caricaturing going down here ... and all the feels we feel.

Forest Whitaker leads the cast as the apolitical Mr. Gaines, a man whose directive is to ghost around the Capitol without putting in his two cents as the business of the Oval Office is conducted before his very eyes by a string of Commanders in Chief: Robin Williams as Dwight D. Eisenhower, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, Jr., Liev Shreiber as Lyndon B. Johnson, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan and Orlando Eric Street as Barack Obama.

Rounding out the impressive cast are Oprah Winfrey as Gaines' wife, Jane Fonda as Nancy Reagan, Melissa Leo as Mamie Eisenhower, Minka Kelly as Jackie Kennedy, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jesse Williams, Vanessa Redgrave, Mariah Carey (see, we told you there were a ton of names here), Alex Pettyfer as an apparent slave-driver, Lenny Kravitz, David Oyelowo, Nelsan Ellis as Martin Luther King, Jr., and, if you can believe it, several others.

"The Butler" will be serving up some smiles and probably some tears too this Oct. 18.

Cheers to 'The World's End'!

Some say the world will end in fire, some say ice. From what we've tasted of desire, though, we're pretty sure it will end at the bottom of an empty pint glass — unless, of course, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have anything to say about it.

That's right, everyone. The first trailer for "The World's End" isn't just Coming Soon, it's finally, actually here. Can you even stand it?!

The latest comedy from the all-star team of Pegg, Frost and director Edgar Wright, "The World's End" thematically picks up where "Shaun of the Dead" and "Hot Fuzz" left off, which is something you should definitely mention in the term paper you're going to try and write about it.

This time around, though, Pegg and Frost are part of a group of lads who reunite 20 years after they failed to complete an epic bar crawl. Now they're trying to recapture their lost youth. But there's just one little problem: Their hometown seems to have possibly been taken over by invading alien monsters. Man, it's always something, right?

"The World's End" hits U.S. theaters on August 23, but you can get your first full-bodied taste of it right now. Here's to the end of the world!

Whoa. Did they just give away the ending to 'Ender's Game' in this first teaser trailer?

Ready for lift-off, "Ender's Game" fanboys and girls?

Good, 'cause the very first teaser trailer for Gavin Hood's adaptation of the Orson Scott Card sci-fi spectacle has dropped, and now we're feeling triple-spacey. As if all the "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" business of the week wasn't enough interstellar action, yeah? The only way we could get spacier is if Kevin were here.

The first teaser introduces Harrison Ford as the murky Colonel Graff, an apparent worrywart who's turning to two generations below to form his tricksy floating army, as well as little Asa Butterfield as Ender, the unsuspecting mini-hero who'll have to save all of Earth from the alien invader bots. The talented tyke'll not go it alone, natch, but instead gets some support from the gnarly face-tatted Mazer Rackham, portrayed by Sir Ben Kingsley, and the goo-eyed Petra, Hailee Steinfeld's character.

The big guy's intergalactic dilemma, as he narrates, is as follows: "They [the aliens] know our strategies. They've learned our weaknesses. And the alien attack nearly destroyed us. That must never be allowed to happen again. If we're going to survive, we need a new kind of soldier. One who doesn't think the way we think, fear the things we fear. One the enemy would never expect."

Enter the innovative and oh-so-tactical Ender to effort saving the whooole wide world. Yippee!

And since the internet has already zapped to with excellent commentary and observations, here are a few things we've learned from the YouTube comments right away:

Nathan McGuff: Bean is clearly seen doing his wire stunt at around 0:40.

Bob Haring: Frigging hilarious he had to operate the thing with a Kinect and yell, "NOW!"

Dogipillar: I like how they left Orson Scott Card's name off this and went with "best seller" instead. Probably a good move.

Russel Gomez: Did they really just show the bugger homeworld blowing up at the end the trailer?

Ashliebelle: Major Anderson is a lady!

Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening play daughter and mother in the new Kristen Wiig-ish comedy.

Okay, now that we've (reluctantly) accepted the fact that Annette Bening is old enough to have a daughter as old as Kristen Wiig, we can attend to the task at hand.

One of SNL's all-time MVPs, Kristen Wiig has struggled to find life after "Bridesmaids," the runaway comedy hit that, believe it or not, is now two years old. Wiig seemed poised for Will Ferrell-sized superstardom after that flick made a bajillion bucks, but oddly enough she's been unable to find the proper follow-up (which is no small task, mind you -- "Bridemaids" is a truly brilliant piece of work).

Wiig's latest is "Imogene," which has since been retitled "Girl Most Likely," a film in which the star plays another version of her "Bridesmaids" character, a woman who (barely) hides the fact that she's on the verge of complete and total psychosis with a seemingly calm if somewhat twitchy and stand-offish exterior. Wiig's great at underplayed exasperation, which will no doubt serve her well in the role of a would-be playwright whose recent meltdown puts her back into the care of her estranged mother (Bening).

Wiig and Bening engage in some amusing verbal sparring, but the best thing about the trailer is Matt Dillon as Bening's current lover, the kind of likable buffoon that Dillon is top-notch at playing. Really, he's always been one of our best comedians, though his opportunities to show off his funny stuff have been inexplicably few and far between over the years.

Anyway, this should make for an enjoyable diversion this summer if you find yourself overwhelmed by all the big rock 'em sock'em action flicks. Check out the trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "Girl Most Likely" opens July 19.

[Warning: NSFW] When it comes to laughter, the new red band trailer for Michael Bay's "Pain and Gain" is all gain, no pain.

Well, except the part when a person's toe snaps off and is then eaten by a dog. That's sure to be pretty painful.

Due out April 26 and starring Mark Wahlberg, Rebel Wilson, Dwane "The Rock" Johnson and Anthony Mackie, "Pain and Gain" is based on the true story of three bodybuilders who decide that their skills lifting weights could be put to more profitable use...by lifting bodies. The trio of Wahlberg, Johnson and Mackie get caught up in a kidnapping and extortion ring and, you guess it, hijinks ensue.

Now less than a month away from release, the best you can do for yourself is to chug a protein shake and watch the above R-rated red band trailer (sorry, 16-and-unders, not this time) over. And over. And over. 20 reps, then take a rest day.

Emma Watson shows off some real acting chops in this second look at Sofia Coppola's true-life crime comedy.

When we last checked in on our pals in the upcoming "The Bling Ring" — namely, director Sofia Coppola, star Emma Watson and their merry band of wannabe thieves that rob Hollywood A-listers — the fuss (justifiably) was mostly surrounding a brief clip of Watson licking her teeth seductively and dancing at a club, because deep down, we're all creep-show perverts.

For trailer #2, though the "whooooaaaaa Emma Watson" teeth-licking still makes the cut, the novelty of Hermione Granger in a mischievous role has worn off and we're forced to focus (gasp!) on the apparent acting skillz (to pay the billz) of the "Harry Potter" veteran, which she dishes out in full force. This is most notable in the trailer's final few seconds, when Watson nails the ditzy, spoiled California teen vibe as her character speaks during a press conference.

As a refresher, "The Bling Ring" is a based on the true story of a group of young people stealing from wealthy actors' homes in Hollywood before eventually getting caught, and since Lindsay Lohan was a victim of the group in real life, you can't help but at least partly root for them.

Check out the new trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "The Bling Ring" hits theaters in a limited release on June 14.

[From MTV] With "Iron Man 3" a little more than a week away, Marvel has already given us a look at our next trip to the universe of superheroes and villains. The first teaser trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" premiered in the early hours of the morning, and even though the preview clocks in at just under two minutes, we can already see a much different adventure for the Norse god.

"Thor: The Dark World" picks up after the events of "The Avengers." Thor (Chris Hemsworth) has returned home to Asgard, but a new force threatens both the god's home world and Earth. As it's revealed near the end of the trailer, Thor must turn to his brother and rival Loki (Tom Hiddleston) for assistance when trying to save the Nine Realms from the dark elves.

Natalie Portman makes a welcome return to the Marvel universe as Jane Foster, Thor's Earth-bound love, who finds herself in Asgard shortly after the start of the preview. A menacing voice over from the film's main baddie, the dark elf Malekith, played by "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" actor Christopher Eccleston, suggests that Jane may stand directly in harm's way with only Thor to protect her.

Read more at MTV, and be sure to check out the brand new trailer, embedded above!

Keanu Reeves is a sinister jerk forcing people to kill each other with tai chi in this new international trailer.

Tai chi is usually thought of as, you know, a nice way for your grandma to fight osteoporosis. But in the new international trailer for "Man of Tai Chi," Keanu Reeves is using it to fight something a little more dangerous: Killer kung-fu assassins.

Now just think how dangerous he'll be when he masters yoga.

Seriously, though, it's no stretch to think of tai chi in more militant terms. After all, while the form is mainly used as an exercise technique these days, it's based on an ancient Chinese martial art. So violence is inherent in its beautiful motions.

And that's key to the plot of "Man of Tai Chi," which actually features Reeves as a villain who gets his jollies making people fight each other to the death. His latest twisted plan? To take someone dedicated to the gentle art of tai chi (star Tiger Hu Chen) and warp him into a deadly killer.

Reeves doesn't just play the heavy, though; he's also making his directorial debut in this mostly Chinese-language film. Exactly when "Man of Tai Chi" is going to be released in U.S. theaters is still up in the air, but for now, here's the trailer, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter.

Just don't forget to stretch before you watch it.

[From MTV Movies] For Ryan Gosling and Nicolas Winding Refn's next movie together after "Drive," you'd expect a similar dream-like, violent yarn to match their first collaboration. You may not have been expecting the seriously tripped-out trailer for "Only God Forgives" that popped up a few weeks back.

Now, after an official Cannes line-up announced the duo's return to the festival, two new international (and NSFW) trailers have gone online (via The Playlist), and they give you more of the same but with some extra insight into the story of revenge and Thai boxing.

Protecting the Earth from the scum of the other side.

Ever wonder what happens to movie cops after they die? Well, if they're played by Ryan Reynolds, they're immediately recruited into the "R.I.P.D." (Rest In Peace Department), a post-mortem law enforcement organization that keeps all of the unruly dead folk out there in line. And oh, there are a lot of unruly dead folk — our world is crawling with them, actually, and luckily we've got these "guardian angels" to protect us.

It's a tough job, and Ryan Reynolds can't do it alone, so he's partnered up with Jeff Bridges, who apparently is just kind of playing himself (hey, if you're Jeff Bridges, there's nothing wrong with that). Together they patrol the living world looking like a gorgeous model and an old Chinese man (don't ask), making sure that those that should be resting in peace stay that way.

Check out the trailer above, courtesy of Machinima. "R.I.P.D." opens July 19.

Wow. We didn't know horses could do that ... even CG horses.

The final trailer for Disney's "The Lone Ranger" showcases what is most definitely a "Pirates of the Caribbean"-sized adventure, one that hopes to transcend its troubled production and controversial casting by doing what Disney does best: putting on the biggest show in town.

And "The Lone Ranger" certainly looks big. Our hero (Armie Hammer) is dead even before Jerry Bruckheimer's logo shows up and resurrected mere frames later as the masked man who teams up with Tonto to ... uh, ride around on horses and leap onto trains and blow up bridges, apparently. Yeah, it looks like a bunch of chaos, but in true Disney style, it's damn classy-looking chaos. Heigh Ho!

Check out the new trailer, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "The Lone Ranger" rides into theaters on July 3.

Okay, don't freak out or anything, but apparently our childhoods were all a lie.

Y'see, that "S" on Superman's chest doesn't stand for "Superman." It's not even an "S." The design is something specifically Kryptonian, but its message is one that's universal: "Hope."

Yeah, this ain't your grandfather's Superman (in fact, Amy Adams' Lois Lane doesn't even get to call him that at all). This is "Man of Steel."

And lest you think Zack Snyder and company have gone all soft and moody with their revisionist reboot, have no fear — there's also plenty of things blowing up and Michael Shannon screaming in the new trailer, too. Oh, and Russell Crowe channeling Marlon Brando.

Check out the new trailer above. "Man of Steel" opens June 14.

Now this is more like it!

We posted a trailer of Neil Jordan's new vampire fable, "Byzantium," and we have to say it didn't do much for us. We dig Jordan, but he's frustratingly (and lovingly, sure) hit-or-miss, and the trailer made "Byzantium" look more like "In Dreams" (ugh) than "Interview with the Vampire" (awesome).

Now, Yahoo! Movies UK has posted a new international trailer for the film, and we like this one much better. It makes the movie actually look, you know, interesting. And kind of hot. And filled with vampire-ish goings-on. You know, all the stuff that makes us want to see a movie.

"Byzantium" tells the tale of a mother/daughter vampire duo (Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan) who find themselves at a remote seaside town, where their involvement with a handsome stranger (Caleb Landry Jones) threatens to tear apart their already delicate existence. Lots of passionate European things ensue, often involving a lot of blood.

Check out the gorgeous creatures of the night above. "Byzantium" opens June 28.

The full length trailer for the Sundance hit "The Kings of Summer" is here.

Ever since the refreshingly oddball first teaser for the breakout Sundance hit "The Kings of Summer" arrived last month, we've been curious to see more. After all, that clip consisted entirely of three teens dancing in the woods to the beat of their own drummer. So what might happen if, you know, there were plot and stuff added?

Well, that curiosity is now satisfied, as Cinema Blend has unveiled a brand new, full length trailer. And darn if it isn't just as charming as we expected.

Here's the scoop: Newcomers Nick Robinson, Moises Arias and Gabriel Basso play a trio of teen boys who are feeling particularly stifled by their parents, not to mention society at large. So they come up with a bold, if totally not recommended, plan: They run away, build a house for themselves in the woods and cover their tracks by faking a kidnapping.

Naturally, some mild hijinks ensue, but mostly this story is a sweet coming of age tale. And since it's backed by strong performances from the likes of Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and Alison Brie, it doesn't just have indie cred, but it's also got some regular flavor cred as well.

"The Kings of Summer," which originally wowed festival crowds under the title "Toy's House," is set to hit theaters on May 31, which technically is still spring. But we'll let that one slide, because authentically fun films like this one are never out of season.

Hard to believe it's been more than a full year since "The Hunger Games" hit theaters and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. Or, wait, no it isn't hard to believe, because it actually seems like a billion lifetimes. When are they going to start giving us from footage from "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," anyway?!

Well, how about right now?

Yes, courtesy of MTV and the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, we've got your first look at "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" trailer right here. Unveiled earlier this evening by star Liam Hemsworth himself, this first trailer gives fans a look at...

..but that would be telling. Here's our suggestion: Just watch the trailer and see for yourself. And then buckle in.

Because the wait for November 22 is going to seem like another thousand years once you've gotten a look at how awesome this footage is.

Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth star in the new version of the old chestnut by the Bard.

Remember that new movie version of "Romeo and Juliet" that "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld was attached to? Yeah, we had completely forgotten about it, too, but now there's a trailer to jog our memories.

Directed by Carlo Carlei and starring Douglas Booth as Romeo, this newfangled "R&J" looks decidedly ... calmer than Baz Luhrmann's game-changing 1996 version starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. But hey, it's, you know, a pretty good script by a fella named Bill Shakespeare, if we remember correctly, and it's nice to see Steinfeld in a more girly-girl role as compared to her terrific tomboyish turn in "True Grit."

The supporting cast is pretty great, too, with Kodi Smit-McPhee as Benvolio, Damian Lewis as Lord Capulet, Natascha McElhone as Lady Capulet, Lesley Manville as the Nurse, Ed Westwick as Tybalt, Paul Giamatti as Friar Laurence, Christian Cooke as Mercutio, Tomas Arana as Lord Montague, Laura Morante as Lady Montague, Tom Wisdom as Count Paris, Leon Vitali as the Apothecary and Stellan Skarsgard as Prince of Verona. Quite the impressive dramatis personae.

Check out the trailer above, and thanks to ComingSoon.net for the find.

Well isn't this little summer splasher just heartwarming as can be?

The last time we saw such an adorably dysfunctional family ensemble on-screen everyone suddenly became an indie movie expert-slash-lover a la "Little Miss Sunshine." With honorable mention to the intriguing "Stuck In Love," this new trailer for "The Way, Way Back" (which conveniently also features Steve Carell in a stolid role) threatens to take possession of that feel-good free-for-all title.

Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who last co-wrote the splashy "The Descendants" script, re-teamed to pen, direct and star in this Sundance-approved movie about a teen boy being guided past his awkward adolescence by a quirky water park group.

Liam James, Toni Collette, Sam Rockwell, Amanda Peet, AnnaSophia Robb, Rob Corddry, Maya Rudolph, Allison Janney and Zoe Levin — yes, all of them — star in the film, which Jim Rash told Entertainment Weekly was a tribute to the love he and Nat Faxon had for '80s-style teen cinema.

"Nat and I grew up on John Hughes and 'Meatballs," he said, "Hughes knew how to explore teen problems without talking down to it. So we really, if anything, wanted to create a nostalgic feeling of a movie that hopefully crosses all those lines for everybody."

Teen boys everywhere will be taking notes about how to do things like innocently linger on a cute booty view and play it cool when the drunken, half-naked neighbor lady starts shakin' her tailfeather at you right in front of her husband.

"The Way, Way Back" hits theaters on July 5.

All good things must come to an end — unless, of course, you're talking about James Bond. But for every other beloved film franchise, there's inevitably a final installment. And for fans of one of the 21st century's most popular comedy series, that moment is here at last thanks to the brand new YouTube trailer for "The Hangover Part III."

The Wolfpack is back, baby!

Back ... and hopefully in somewhat better form than 2011's "The Hangover Part II" found them in. Not that we hated the second film, but honestly, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper just didn't seem to be having as much fun in that one. And when they're not having fun, we're not having fun.

This time around, though, it looks like the whimsy has returned full-force, thanks in no small part to scene-stealer Ken Jeong, who practically swipes this whole trailer right out from under the Wolfpack. Plus, John Goodman is on hand to kick the plot into gear — a plot that apparently includes an intervention, cockfighting, base jumping and God only knows what else.

"The Hangover Part III" hits theaters on May 24. The end may be nigh, but it looks like this is one franchise that's going to go out in style. Or at least drunk.

From the moment "Thor" hit theaters two years ago, Chris Hemsworth has been a bona fide Hollywood superstar. He's made one action blockbuster after another, with "The Avengers" and "Snow White and the Huntsman" hitting theaters back to back. He's even participated in an instant cult classic with "The Cabin in the Woods." But there's still one question some fans and critics have: Can the guy actually, you know ... act?

Well, it looks like we're about to find out, because the first international trailer for his upcoming racing drama "Rush" has just arrived courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. And if director Ron Howard has anything to say about it, this is the film that's going to turn Hemsworth from action star into star, period.

Set in 1976 and based on a true story, "Rush" tells the story of English Formula One driver James Hunt (that's Hemsworth), a hard driving, fast living rebel with amazeballs hair. When Hunt's arch-rival, Austrian Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl), crashes during a race, it puts him in a coma — and gives Hunt a clear shot at the championship. Wracked by guilt, Hunt has to reevaluate his life, even as Lauda returns from the brink of death for an improbable final showdown.

In other words, it's got both the kind of action we expect from Hemsworth, as well as the kind of heart that has earned Howard two Oscars.

So will "Rush," which is set to hit theaters on September 20, be the film that changes the way we look at Hemsworth? We sure as heck are looking forward to finding out. And hey, if it doesn't work out, you know what they say: We'll always have Asgard.

We've got a new teaser right here for the "Iron Man 3" exclusive trailer set to air during the MTV Movie Awards!

"Iron Man 3" may not hit theaters until May 3, but this Sunday night fans will be able to get a sneak peek at the action thanks to a brand new teaser scheduled to air during the MTV Movie Awards — and we've got a teaser of the teaser right here.

We're such a tease!

Airing live on MTV at 9 p.m. EST, this year's MTV Movie Awards are set to be hosted by Rebel Wilson, who sadly is not in "Iron Man 3" (as far as we know...?!). But even without Wilson's presence, this new trailer for "Iron Man 3" looks to be plenty badass thanks to Robert Downey Jr. facing off against Ben Kingsley's Mandarin, an evil bearded jerk with a truly amazing bathrobe.

"I'm gonna offer a choice," the Mandarin says in this new teaser teaser. "Do you want an empty life? Or a meaningful death?"

We're not sure what Iron Man decides, but we do know that if you want to avoid having an empty life, you should check out this clip and then tune into the MTV Movie Awards to see the full length teaser. It's sure a heck of a lot easier than becoming a superhero — and from the looks of it, a lot more fun, too. See you there.

The future is filled with robotic body horror in the new film from the director of "District 9."

The future is filled with robotic body horror in "Elysium," the new sci-fi thriller from writer-director Neill Blomkamp ("District 9"). Taking place in 2154, "Elysium" is the name of a massive off-planet space station that houses the rich and privileged whilst the poor working class slaves away on a desolate Earth.

Matt Damon plays Max, a working stiff who gets exposed to radiation while on the job (you don't know that from the trailer; we know it from the footage that was shown last summer at Comic-Con). His only hope of survival is getting the high-tech medical treatment reserved for the residents of Elysium, so he gets grafted to a mechanical exoskeleton (for some reason) and looks to infiltrate the highfalutin off-world colony.

Blomkamp's working with a bigger budget here, and his pal Sharlto Copley gets to play the bad guy this time around. We're definitely curious about this one, but unfortunately it doesn't look half as special as "District 9" — really, it looks like just another big, loud, expensive sci-fi movie with an A-list star, a la this month's "Oblivion" and June's "After Earth." Don't lose your street cred, Neill!

Check out the trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "Elysium" opens Aug. 9.

The 'Man of Steel' seems a little alienated in first TV spot.

"Man of Steel" ain't gonna be your daddy's "Superman," k?

A new TV spot for the super-serious Zack Snyder rendition of The Big Blue Boy Scout reinforces the December trailer's message that Henry Cavill will be presenting one heavy-hearted, stern-faced son of a gun in this movie, as he searches for his place in a world which he maybe doesn't belong to. Or does?

His Clark Kent is on the hunt for many answers, not the least of which is the origin of his massive strength and invincibility, but his earthly parents - an aged Diane Lane and Kevin Costner - aren't too terribly helpful. In fact, daddy dearest serves him extra helping of ambiguity in the instruction: "You just have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be, Clark. Whoever that man is, it's going to change the world."

This new clip features just a fraction of the content from previous glimpses at the film - which included quick-pans of all prominent supporting stars, including Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Michael Shannon (General Zod) and Russell Crowe (Jor-El) — but it also wisely narrows to narrative directive of note.

"My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, he would reject me. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready. What do you think?" Kal-El ponders. If no one else, the comic book-loving community totally is!

"Man of Steel" flies into theaters on June 14.

Life with Liberace looks like it was fun and games until it totally wasn't.

Movies — er, "cinema" — might not matter so much to director Steven Soderbergh these days, but judging by this new trailer for "Behind the Candelabra," a film he's been putting together for years and which will finally debut on HBO next month, he's still quite cozy in the director's chair.

The cable network released a first trailer for the film, which adapts the memoir of Liberace's lover-slash-chauffeur Scott Thorson, "My Life with Liberace," and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Michael Douglas stars as the incomparably flamboyant pianist himself, while Matt Damon portrays his special young friend who got scooped up into the lavish lifestyle of the world's then most popular entertainer.

The real Thorson was just a teenager when Liberace took him under his wing, but after five years of highs (luxe gifts, vacations and even an adoption) and lows (drugs, promiscuity and plastic surgery to make Thorson look like a younger Liberace), he cut ties with the pianist and later filed a $113 million palimony suit, which would eventually be settled for five figures, two cars and two dogs. Despite the cantankerous end to their wild relationship, Thorson did pay Liberace a visit before his AIDS-related death in 1987.

"It was really fun," Soderbergh said to Vulture about making the movie. "The world of it was just bananas. It was great to see Michael and Matt jump off the cliff together. Nobody can accuse them of being shy. They just went for it. It's pretty gay."

Among the film's supporting stars are Dan Aykroyd, who plays Liberace's manager, Debbie Reynolds as his mother and, yep, that was totally Rob Lowe playing the <del>stoner</del> plastic surgeon.

"Behind the Candelabra" hits HBO on Sunday, May 26 at 9 p.m. after an expected debut at Cannes Film Festival.

If there's anybody in the world who understands the need to be big pimpin' and spendin' cheese, it's Jay-Z, and it sounds like all that baller status empathy is coming to good, good use for director Baz Luhrmann and his upcoming adaptation of "The Great Gatsby."

In this latest (final?) trailer for the lavish picture, the group offers up a delicious little sampling of the smörgåsbord of talent Jay's got on deck for "Gatsby" - leading off, of course, with his one and only <del>Daisy</del> Beyonce and her co-cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" with Andre 3000. Listen closely and you'll also hear a little Jack White, Lana Del Rey and the incomparable Florence + the Machine seamlessly dropping in here and there. Gorgeous.

The full "Gatsby" track list was revealed by EW yesterday to put down the long-lived suspicions of involvement by Prince and Lady Gaga with the album.

01. Jay-Z – 100$ Bill
02. Beyoncé and André 3000 – Back to Black
03. will.i.am – Bang Bang
04. Fergie, Q-Tip, and GoonRock – A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)
05. Lana Del Rey – Young and Beautiful
10. The xx – Together

Jay himself - while not composing the score, as originally expected, stepped into the soundtrack collaborator chair for this one, saying that the F. Scott Fitzgerald-penned tale "is that classic American story of one's introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion. It's ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist."

Luhrmann gushed that he and lead Leonardo DiCaprio were "lucky" to witness Jay's recording of "No Church in the Wild," featured on the first two trailer for the film, and "the collaboration grew from there."

Roc City's taking over Long Island for this one, peeps, and it's a beautiful thing.

Hit-Girl unleashes the fury as Stephen King's woman scorned.

It looks like it's time to destroy another prom.

Hit-Girl makes for quite the firestarter (wait, wrong movie) as Stephen King's woman scorned in "Carrie," the latest cinematic version of the old chestnut about a girl who can make things explode with her damn mind.

Hollywood keeps casting hotties as King's ugliest duckling, and this time we've got Chloe Moretz (who's growing up way too fast) as the high school student tormented by both her bullying classmates and her ultra-religious nutjob mama (Julianne Moore). We get a few highlights from Moore's deliciously over-the-top performance, though the trailer mostly focuses on the modern special effects technology that makes Carrie seem like a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

This supernatural revenge melodrama — and its iconic imagery — is so engrained in our pop culture consciousness that director Kimberly Peirce's new adaptation seems unnecessary at best. However, there are pleasures in this new version that transcend its inherent irrelevance — really, you need only say "Hit-Girl as Carrie" and it's movie magic.

Check out the trailer above, courtesy of Yahoo! Movies. "Carrie" opens Oct. 18.

"Wanna fight?" Well, no ... but, yes. You know.

Ryan Gosling raises all sorts of bloody hell in "Only God Forgives," the Bangkok-set crime thriller that reunites him with his "Drive" director, Nicolas Winding Refn. Gosling plays the owner of a Thai boxing club that serves as a front for his family's criminal empire who's forced by his crazy mama (Kristin Scott Thomas) to track down the man who killed his brother, a retired police office who calls himself the Angel of Vengeance.

Bullets, fists, swords and an awesome Cliff Martinez score ... you know you're there.

But when? "Only God Forgives" will screen at Cannes in May but it has yet to score a U.S. release date. For now, dig the groovy yet dangerous style of Gosling/Refn in the somewhat NSFW red band trailer, courtesy of Yahoo!
Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey discover that the odds are not ever in their favor.

So what would happen if "The Hunger Games" involved the entire country and not just a handful of hot teenagers? Well, thanks to the brand Apple Trailers clip for the upcoming horror film "The Purge," we now know the answer to that burning question.

And just as you might imagine, it involves a lot of Ethan Hawke looking like he's about to crap his pants.

Here's the aggressively silly premise for "The Purge:" In the future, America will suspend all law for one night only each year, allowing people to rob, maim and kill at will in order to work out their frustrations. Personally, we prefer yoga class for that rather than murder, but hey, whatever works.

Anyway, Hawke and his wife (Lena Headey) are rich folks who spend each annual purge locked safely away inside their mansion with their emotionally conflicted children. Which works fine right up until one of those kids decides to bring a stranger into their house in order to save his life from a group of mask-wearing psychopaths. Now with their own home under siege, they not only have to fight for survival, they also have to face the most insidious enemy of all: Their own moral hypocrisy.

Wow. Heavy stuff, man.

"The Purge" is set to hit theaters on May 31. Check out the new trailer — and may the odds ever be in your favor.

"The Conjuring" may be paint-by-numbers horror, but at least it's being made by real artists.

The new YouTube trailer for the upcoming horror movie "The Conjuring" is here and at first glance, it appears to be the same old haunted house movie we've all seen before. You know, spirits and the psychic trying to track them down, weird faces in the mirror, whispery voices, screaming children. That sort of folderol.

But "The Conjuring" does have something going for it that most horror movies don't: A seriously great cast.

Just how good is the cast? Well, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga, who knows a thing or two about horror thanks to her new hit TV series "Bates Motel," co-stars alongside Golden Globe nominee Patrick Wilson as a couple who travel around the country solving supernatural mysteries.

When they arrive at the creepy house owned by Golden Globe nominee Ron Livingston, though, they find something they never expected: An actual, legit haunting. Oh, wait, sorry — the trailer claims that it's actually not a haunting nor a possession but something even crazier and more terrifying. Like... a conjuring? Just a guess.

But whatever the case, this time around "Saw" and "Insidious" director James Wan has surrounded himself with enough top notch acting talent (including "The Twilight Saga's" Mackenzie Foy) to ensure that if this does turn out to be another paint-by-numbers horror flick, at least the painting will be done by master artists.

Friedrich Nietzche famously said "that which does not kill us makes us stronger." But there's one thing that even the legendary German philosopher could not possibly have accounted for his in ruminations: The existence of Adam Sandler's new "Grown Ups 2" trailer.

If Nietczche's adage is true, then once you finish the clip, courtesy of indieWire, you'll be so jacked that people will be calling you Ahhhhnold.

The first "Grown Ups" movie, which starred Sandler alongside Chris Rock, David Spade and Kevin James, was just as juvenile and still became a giant box office hit back in 2010. So obviously someone likes this sort of thing.

And if you're one of those people, then congratulations, because this new trailer is chock full of all sorts of hilarious things — and by hilarious, we mean the likes of Andy Samberg's butt, Shaquille O'Neal doing a hip hop dance and a moose giving Sandler a golden shower. Plus, Taylor Lautner is in it, because why not?

Sure, it's ironic that the movie is called "Grown Ups 2" even though Sandler is still doing the same juvenile act he was doing 20 years ago. Unfortunately, it looks like that irony may be the funniest thing about the movie. Which leads us to present this other famous philosophical quote from founding father Ben Franklin: "A fool and his money soon are parted."

Remember that when July 12 rolls around.

Time for another ordinary girl to fall into a supernatural world and rake in some ticket loot.

The back-to-back floppery of "Beautiful Creatures" and "The Host" has left a lot of industry folks confused about the perceived ticketing draw of Young Adult book-to-film properties. Aren't these movies supposed to be raking in gobs of dough and keying up innumerable sequels, the last of which will be a two-parter of some sort? Where are all the ladies and their signs at the midnight lines and the tattoos and such? To that we say, see the list. Know the list. The formula is much more complicated than it might seem.

Sony Pictures hopes that their "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" will become the first film of the year to rejuvenate that ravenous YA fanfare, and they just might pull it off, too.

For their newest trailer, the focus is upon adorable Brooklyn-born redhead Clary (Lily Collins) as she stumbles upon a small world of Shadowhunters — led by the hunky dark hero Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower). Her mother's gone missing, and she's now seeing things, eeevil things her bestie Simon (Robert Sheehan) can't. This means she's a part of this riveting demon-slayer business, and she quite likes it.

If we were doing movie math on this one, it'd be "Legion" + "Harry Potter" + "Twilight" - "Beautiful Creatures."

"City of Bones" hits theaters on Aug. 2, and it'll be the first in a series of fall YA adaptation releases (followed up by "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters," "The Seventh Son," "Ender's Game" and the guaranteed runaway "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire").

Given the timing of this one's release — the book series is not yet complete, so the fanbase is still very active and excitable — we can probably add this one to the will-be-successful pile.

It turns out that comedians are even worse at surviving the apocalypse than normal people.

When it comes to surviving an apocalypse, there are three keys every person should know. Number one: Stay calm. Number two: Always boil your water, because there's really no way of telling what kind of microbes and stuff might be in it. And most importantly of all, number three: Do not under any circumstances mess with Emma Watson.

Because as the new NSFW red band trailer for "This Is The End" shows, Hermione is totally willing to kick your ass.

Set to hit theaters on June 14, "This Is The End" is a high concept comedy starring a bevy of comedians and Hollywood types — including Seth Rogen, Danny McBride, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel and Craig Robinson among others — as versions of themselves. Gathered together at a crazy party thrown by James Franco, the gang suddenly has to face the unthinkable when the end of the world abruptly arrives.

And that means not only battling aliens, meterorites and dinosaurs, but also facing the most dangerous menace of all: Hermione wielding a fire axe.

So check out the new trailer for "This Is the End" and find out why sometimes, the worst thing about the apocalypse is surviving it.

MTV and NextMovie are happy to give you your first look at the first trailer for "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" and boy, do these kids want this blanket something fierce.

In the sequel to 2010's "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," Percy (Logan Lerman) and all his demigod friends are back. After rescuing Zeus' all-powerful lightning bolt in the series' first installment, Percy and Co. (including Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith and more, including "The Host"'s Jake Abel as scowly demigod Luke) must recover a golden fleece, which will save their home, Camp Half-Blood, from the Bad Guys (and, one assumes, the shivers).

Check out the trailer, above, for all kinds of cool effects (fire! Swords! Intrigue! Adventure!), friendly teen competition (looks like Leven Rambin, as Clarisse La Rue, gives our favorite wallflower demigod a run for his money) and, of course, a desperate search for fleece.

"Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" is set for release on August 16, 2013.
