As soon as Patton Oswalt opened his mouth that day of production on "Parks and Recreation," you knew this would happen. So did I. So did your mom. Ask her. I'll wait.

...

See? I told you! This is why the internet's great. That rhymed.

Indeed, some anonymous cartoonist/video editor that you will never know made an animated version of Patton Oswalt's filibuster-inspired plot for "Star Wars: Episode VII," and the magic that existed only in our minds from Oswalt's dramatic narration of the film now exists forever on the internet as an eight-minute video. This is the world we live in now. Think about these types of things the next time you're nostalgic for the past, and boom it's 2013 again.

Even the random shouts from Amy Poehler (as Leslie Knope) made the video as comic book-esque dialogue bubbles that appear out of nowhere over various characters' heads, which is awkward, but it's the thought that counts. The editor also chose some weird snapshots of the characters mentioned at various times, which, ok, sure. The editor also depressingly features the oldest possible shot of Harrison Ford he can find, which kind of ruins the vibe. The editor...

YOU KNOW WHAT, sorry, it's still wonderful. Enjoy.

Above, we have what Sarah MacLachlan has been drearily chanting about for twenty years in between otherwise-happy stuff on your television set — a dog being forced by its owners to watch the saddest scene in Disney movie history, when Simba tries in vain to wake up his deceased father Mufasa in "The Lion King." Needless to say, the dog is upset by the proceedings of the Circle of Life, as we all were once upon a time.

Admittedly, however, we are finding it somewhat difficult to believe this particular dog. Is it really upset? Or did it just notice that a camera was pointed at its face (at the :01 second mark) and put on its best audition face? Fine, Rascal (yes, the dog's name is "Rascal," starting now), you can be in "Air Bud 7." Jeez.

But if those feelings are real, and the dog is, in fact, genuinely (and rightfully) upset by the proceedings (prove it, dog), its owners needed to do exactly one thing to put it in a better mood: remind the dog that Simba is voiced by Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Once that happens, the viewer can literally feel the gravitas of the scene fading away like Mufasa's face in the clouds. Problem solved!

If you're going to have a swimming pool full of blood, there've gotta be a few rules, ya know?

Over in the U.K. (which basically explains everything about this story right off) some weird chaps will be celebrating the release of the latest Resident Evil video game by taking a dip in a pool of blood-colored water.

And attendants won't just be seeing red when this all goes down, either; human torso floats, intestine-shaped lane markers, zombie lifeguards and a "freshly killed human corpse" diving board will also be prepared for the day, and participants can retrieve some vials of anti-virus serum from the bottom and then dry off with blood-spattered towels. Talk about some killer theme commitment.

Capcom's rep explained, "Zombies have been kept very busy lately doing a variety of PR stunts, so rather than do the expected and use them in the campaign for Resident Evil Revelations, we wanted to give them some time off for canal side relaxation in London. To non-zombies, the swimming pool will be shocking, gory and an incredibly disturbing experience – the perfect way to show that survival horror is back with a bang for Resident Evil Revelations."

To prepare for the bloody two-day affair, which takes place at Juniper Wharf this coming weekend, this infographic of zombie pool rules has been made to warn against offenses like biting, skin picking and whipping out the Thriller dance. 'Cause, with all of their elaborate (albeit disgusting) extras planned, someone might get all confused about the reality of the situation and go one too far, right?

Seems legit.

As another fun fact, the pool is said to hold 55,000 gallons of water ordinarily, so to fill it with actual blood — no, they didn't go quite that far — it'd take 11,327 people.

Dive right in! Surely, the water will be warm.

"Hey, want to be in the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time with me in 11 years?" "I sure do!"

The internet's really cool sometimes, guys. This is one of those sometimes.

Above we have a lost video from the nether years of the late '90s — 1998, specifically, which is a full (uses Macbook calculator) 15 years ago — featuring the now uber-famous Zach Galifianakis and the now pretty damn-famous Ken Jeong (whose movie, "The Hangover Part III," comes out next weekend) doing some standup comedy together at a coffee house in Los Angeles. It's a fun watch, especially considering the rapport these two obviously already had a full decade before they would star together in "The Hangover."

It just goes to show you: If you put in the work, and you never quit, and you wait a decade, and you have the talent of either Zach Galifianakis or Ken Jeong, good things can happen to anyone.

Some bulletpoint observations:

We forget that Galifianakis was at one point, um, kind of a stud?

Jeong's comedic stylings are pretty much exactly the same now as they were 15 years ago.

The guy in the front row with the overwhelmingly terrible laugh needs to be stopped.

Galifianakis laughs at his own jokes less frequently now.

The place throwing the open mic looks like it serves delicious coffee.

We would watch the Jim Jarmusch version of "Fast and Furious 6" RIGHT NOW.

Have you ever watched a "Fast and Furious" movie (any of the previous five qualify, including "Tokyo Drift," we guess) and thought, "Man, this is good, but I kind of wish there was less action. Less fights, less explosions, less street races. Actually, you know what would be great? If this was directed by Sofia Coppola." Of course you have. Who hasn't?

Well, wish no longer, friend. Above, we have an entertaining cartoon depiction of three versions of the upcoming "Fast and Furious 6" — one from Sofia Coppola, one from Jim Jarmusch, and one from Terrence Malick — and we're happy to report that they're all wonderfully artsy in their own respective Coppolian, Jarmuschian and Malickian (muh-LICKY-in) ways.

In fact, we would pay to see all three versions, if they were to ever actually be made. And since there are no real signs of stopping this franchise — wait for the upcoming $100 million weekend for "Fast 6" — who's to say that all three won't eventually get a shot?

What we're trying to say is this: We're all very excited for Terrence Malick's "Fast and Furious 13: Dom and Brian Birth the Moon," in theaters May of 2021.

The "Star Trek Into Darkness" drops everything. We mean EVERYTHING.

Well hello there, Lt. Uhura.

Zoe Saldana, who suits up to the play the tough-as-nails U.S.S. Enterprise communications officer in this weekend's "Star Trek Into Darkness," stripped down for a cover story in this month's Allure magazine.

While the 34-year-old actress has already been the glowing subject of one of our signature Hot People Looking Hot galleries, we're unsure whether we've actually seen her looking quite this hot before.

The steamy pics weren't the only tantalizing thing about Saldana's "Allure"-ing media appearance: She also hinted that she might be bisexual. In addition to describing herself as androgynous and saying that she could see herself raising children with a female partner, she dropped another juicy tidbit, perhaps more tantalizing than her strategically-placed limbs in the pictures.

Asked by the mag if she had ever had a prior relationship with a woman, she responded: "Promise me one thing: You're going to ask this question [in the article]—if you choose to, just put three dots as my response. That's it."

OOOooooOOOOOoooooohhhh, Zoe, you tease!

Lando Calrissian and Captain Kirk have some particular ideas for how "Star Wars: Episode VII" should play out.

The biggest problem with the "Star Wars" prequels (besides, you know, Jar-Jar) was in the intervening 15 years between episodes fans had basically made those movies in their heads, and nothing could live up to the majesty of whatever they had concocted.

Luckily, J.J. Abrams has taken that into consideration, and seems open to taking suggestions directly from fanboys as he crafts "Star Wars Episode VII," as in last night's interview with Jimmy Kimmel where he took pointers from a guy with a light saber and a fat dude in Slave Leia drag (natch). And, surprise, O.G. "Star Trek" stars Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and William Shatner popped up to offer their own expert opinions.

As far as audience plants go, Billy Dee was about as smooth as a cold Colt 45, pitching Abrams on 2 hours of straight up sexy Lando action. While Williams clearly still has the moves (he suggested that the movie be "all Lando"), Abrams took the biggest shine to the thought of shoehorning Captain Kirk into the "Star Wars" universe… based on a script by Shatner, of course.

Is it too late to throw our hat into the ring and suggest Eli Roth do a Jar-Jar Binks/"Hostel" crossover movie with lots and lots of Gungan torture porn? Darth Vader and Boba Fett could take turns with the blowtorch. Just a suggestion.

The ratio of people screaming "NOOOOO!!!!!!" in movies to people screaming "NOOOOO!!!!!" in real life is extremely high. In a 2005 study, scientists from Harvard University concluded that this number was roughly 12.7 to 1,* though each scientist individually claimed that he or she had never met anyone who screamed no for more than the quarter-second it takes to say the word normally.**

For proof, above we've embedded a fresh-out-of-the-oven supercut of movie characters screaming "NOOOO!!!!" regarding various situational hardships in their movie character lives. Though the supercut lasts only :55 seconds, there are (by our count) 58 scenes of people screaming "NOOOO!!!!" in movies, which would mean, going by the math of the aforementioned Harvard scientists, 4.57 real people out there would have had to have screamed "NOOOO!!!!" to match.***

Stay tuned for an upcoming supercut of people screaming "YESSSS!!!!!!" in movies, which will presumably be much shorter (movie character lives are never easy, you see) and also much more naturally awkward.

*This study did not actually happen
**They didn't, because they don't exist
***No, because the study isn't real

As you may know, there have been 1,784 different movie versions of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic American novel, "The Great Gatsby," give or take about 1,778 or 1,779. The above is a mashup of two of them, specifically Jack Clayton's 1974 version and Baz Luhrmann's 3D version which debuted in theaters just this past Friday.

Specifically, the bored video editor who made this and put it on the internet in his (or her) spare time took the music from the 2013 trailer and put it over the 1974 trailer, which would have undoubtedly freaked out Clayton and anyone working on the movie at that time. ("What on earth is a 'Jay-Z'? Is it a pastry of some sort?")

The results are nonetheless quite satisfying, especially if you picture Robert Redford breaking character wondering who is doing all that screaming at the end. (It's the band Filter covering "Happy Together," Mr. Redford. Please carry on.)

The real shame is that there is no mashed up trailer for the 2013 version with 1974's music, so we could have seen the fancypants "From director Baz Luhrmann" graphic with Donny Osmond's "Puppy Love" playing over it. Yep. That's a shame, alright.

Spaceship Earth at the EPCOT Center has turned into Mike Wazowski.

Yes, to promote the upcoming "Monsters Inc" sequel "Monsters University," Disney has turned their famous Spaceship Earth (you probably know it better as "pointless golf ball-looking thing") structure into a large, equal parts adorable and horrifying version of Mike Wazowski, a main character (a main monster?) from the two films voiced by Billy Crystal. The way they were able to do it is incredibly impressive, if a little over-the-top and a lot "1984"/"Lord of the Rings"-ish.

Still, you can't deny that, at least initially, the giant Mike is worthy of more than a few "awwww"s - at least before you stare at the two gifs below long enough that you're violently shaking in the corner of your bathroom, sweating, naked, curled up in a fetal position, waiting for anyone to notice you and love you.

So yeah, just don't stare at the gifs below for that long and you're good.

"Monsters University" premieres on June 21st, which is the first official day of summer. Maybe that's why he's so happy?

Stop looking at me like that.

It's time to stop putting your foot in your own mouth, and time to start putting it into someone else's. The Evil Queen who torments the innocent Snow White seems like a good place to start.

Here's your golden opportunity (slash poisoned apple, take your pick): UK fashion designer Kobi Levi has unveiled her "Witch-Craft" line of shoes, celebrating fierce heels and fiercer Disney villains.

Three ladies of darkness are featured in Levi's collection of leather heels, which she calls "wearable sculpture": Ursula from "The Little Mermaid" and Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty."

The kicks are finely detailed art on their own, but here's the best part: When worn, they don't necessarily scream "Disney-obsessed psychopath who wants to wear homages to evil queens on her feet," since, let's face it, we already have like nine pairs of shoes in our closet that already fit that description. (What?) The faces of each queen are actually painted on the insole of each shoe, hidden when worn. The wearer looks Gaga-esque, as opposed to "are you allowed to be near children unsupervised"-esque.

Check out pics of the shoes below, via Laughing Squid, and head to Kobi Levi's blog to see more of her high-heeled creations.

Ready for one of those "so that's how they did it" moments? Great. Strap in for the geeky ride.

As you might've figured out by now — you are smart enough to be visiting the raddest movie site on the web-o-sphere, after all — movies don't just appear out of thin air. A lot of technique, manpower and good old fashion ingenuity goes into making every single frame happen on-screen.

Some movies require more creativity and craftsmanship than others, of course, and with the most iconic movies in history, there's a lot to be explored about how these awesome flicks came to be.

Check out this great pic of the train scene in "Back to the Future," for example.

That Delorean is barely as big as the cake we saw! Great Scott!

No, but seriously, it is a little bit jarring to see the man behind the curtain, isn't it?

How about with this uber recognizable moment from "E.T." which is now totally ruined by this giant (but actually just normal-sized) man?

And get a load of this glimpse at how they did all that (daaa daaaa da da da da daaaaa) scrolling story for "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back."

Mind officially blown.

Oh, and there's also this cool glimpse at Heath Ledger being a boss as the joker on "The Dark Knight" set.

And this one of <del>Mr. Anderson</del> Keanu Reeves and Hugo Weaving executing that awesome pistol fight scene we all loved so well in "The Matrix."

Fun times. For more of this pictorial goodness, hit up The Photo Mag.

This Sunday, moms across the world'll be celebrating their own momness (or is it momitude?) in varying degrees and fashions. Some will receive flowers; others will demand that those whiny, slothy teenage miscreants do their own ruddy laundry for crying out loud ... or something like that.

Mom, mum, mother, madre ... whatever you call her, she went through the uber painstaking process of giving life to your ungrateful hiney, so <del>candy and card companies</del> society saw fit to throw our matriarchs a bone and dedicate a day to the gal. To pitch in with some on-point cinematic snark, Film.com's put together this lol-arious and totally not safe for work mash-up of the many movie moments when the word mother gets met with our very favorite expletive (hint: it starts with an "f" and rhymes with tucker).

Not surprisingly, like half of them come from this guy ...

... Yeah, Samuel L. Jackson.

However, he does get some support from fellow potty mouths like Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Mo'Nique, Will Smith, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Richard Pryor, Tom Cruise and Michael Clark Duncan.

After watching this, you might want to invest in a new bar of soap in case your mama catches you repeating the foul (but oh so fun) phrase. It's pretty contagious. We love you, Mom!

A Lonely Island in Between Two Ferns. (Clever wordplay!)

The title of this post is a little on the nose, but I make no apologies; there was really no other way to aptly describe what happens in the above video, the newest edition of Zach Galifianakis's esteemed Funny or Die-based interview series, "Between Two Ferns."

What begins as a standard BTF interview with James Franco — insulting questions, heaping passive aggression, odd sexual undertones, etc. — suddenly delves into the newest song/video from The Lonely Island about various activities one might do while on spring break, featuring Ed Norton in addition to both Franco and Galifianakis. As you might imagine, it both doesn't disappoint and doesn't make for good work downtime viewing, unless you've come prepared with headphones.

After watching, there's a 97 percent chance you'll be in awe that so much stuff was packed into four minutes of video, and will therefore think less of all other four minute videos you may view in the future. In fact, four minute videos from now on should probably just be outlawed. Get on it, Obama. It's the only move, here.

Trekkies > Super Bowl for Audi and Spock Prime > Spock.

The Force is definitely with these two ... Oh wait, wrong space franchise. Right. So, "greetings."

Kidding, kids. Don't go gettin' those tighty-whiteys in a wad, 'cause there's some fun to be had here.

It was absolutely bound to happen that Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Spock Prime (Leonard Nimoy) would come to a battle of wits, with "Star Trek Into Darkness" offering up an on-screen reunion of the two big-eared human-Vulcan hybrids, and now it has.

In this new commercial for Audi of America — which is totes better than their prom-themed Super Bowl spot — Spock Senior and his protege, so to speak, have a little race to see who'll pay for lunch at the golf club, because of course Spock would want to play golf with himself. (???) Since Spock Junior is equipped with a slick and quick little ride while the old man's sporting an apparently scoff-worthy Mercedes, it's no challenge at all.

But there's a reason the O.G. wins all the chess games. He's got the know-how to take down his opponent by pulling one of these signature maneuvers right quick.

Check, you said? How about a checkmate, then. Bam!

Little Spockito never saw it coming, though he probably should've.

At any rate, Nimoy also earned some additional geek cred in the video by letting his Tolkien freak flag fly as he rattled off lyrics to some Bilbo Baggins tribute tune. Ah, fandemonium. It truly touches us all.

And now the only matter left to resolve with these two is who pulls off the big line better.

We'll leave that conundrum for another day.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" hits theaters next weekend.

To Be Fair, The Lion King Was Pretty F**king Violent Sometimes.

Have you ever noticed that Disney movies, for being Disney movies, are actually pretty violent? And not just in a lighthearted way, either; for every "Mickey playfully smashes a friend with the lower part of his fist on the top of his head," there's a "The Beast is brutally shot in the spine with a bow and arrow." Ow.

I'll tell you who noticed it, if you didn't: a bored video editor, that's who. And as a result, we have a fun 85 second supercut of all the incidences of violence in every Disney movie, embedded at the top for your sick, masochistic enjoyment.

The most disturbing clip, by far, comes at the end, when we see a silhouette of Mickey absolutely destroy a broom with an axe like they're filming "Misery 2: Back in the Saddle" instead of "Fantasia." It's peculiar that the producers of said film apparently believed the fact that the scene was done in shadows at least in part negated its violent nature, because they were wrong, and now everything I've ever believed is a lie. Sob.

Supercut: Boy, Leo DiCaprio Sure Does Yell a Lot

I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD! I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!

One of the most ubiquitous aspects of every 30 second trailer for "The Great Gatsby" is the brief clip of Leonardo DiCaprio (as Gatsby himself) savagely screaming in the face of Nick Carraway (fellow "Pussy Posse" member Tobey Maguire). We as viewers of the preview don't know what he's yelling about, but that's ok, because we all understand that this is what Mr. DiCaprio does in all of his movies. The words "inside voice" mean nothing to the guy.

Our Broseph Gordon-Levitts at the Huffington Post set about making a supercut to prove that very notion, embedded above for your enjoyment/horror. Boy, for an otherwise mild-mannered fellow off-camera, Leo sure does scream a lot, huh? Sometimes it's not even at people — sometimes the man just yells.

It's frequent enough that you're forced to wonder whether or not it's just negotiated into his contract at the beginning of production of every one of his movies. "$20 million up front, 5 percent of the film's profits, and he gets at least three scenes where he blows out his vocal chords in the most primal manner possible. Deal? Deal."

It's been the week of "Iron Man" (well, "Iron Man 3," specifically), and for proof, you need look no further than its $175 million opening weekend at the domestic box office. For those not in the know, $175 million is, um, a lot of money. It did well, so to speak.

Feeling the "Iron Man" mojo running through the veins of the populace himself, editor/talented person/talented person with too much time on his hands Mike Helm constructed an insanely well-done supercut remix of all three "Iron Man" movies to the tune of Black Sabbath's "Crazy Train."

Just kidding, it's Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" but it would have been a fun curveball had it been "Crazy Train." Can't win em all, Mike. We'll be over here sighing quietly at your lost potential.

Still, this video is another example of the increasingly widely-held belief that video editors are better at their jobs than everyone else in the world put together times eleventy billion. After all, you don't see accountants making super-sweet "Iron Man" supercuts in their spare time. For shame, accountants.

Finally, a man boldly went there.

Look, the beauty of the "Star Trek" franchise is how unabashedly geeky Trekkies can be. Those nerds just don't give a flying eff what anyone outside the Starship Enterprise has to say about them, so there's a ton of fun to be had with it.

Here in this "Star Trek Into Darkness" junket interview with J.J. Abrams and his cast — Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, and Alice Eve — quirky YouTuber Daniele Rizzo posed as Spocko, a Vulcan-slinging weirdo with no qualms about asking tough questions like who this John Harrison baddie is and how the "crew" feels about the term "V.I.L.F."

Because...sure.

And while Captain J.J. looked pretty peeved about being demoted to craft services, the thespians among the crew handled the wannabe Vulcan's pressure pretty well.

Alice Eve and Karl Urban got cool points right away for offering up proper "greetings" at the outset, and Chris Pine earned some space cred too by throwing a "live long and prosper" into the mix. Zach Quinto and Zoe Saldana, meanwhile, did well to muscle through all the deadpanning and answer the odd inquiries with (mostly) straight faces.

That said, it's best to just live long and...watch the video.

Now Wolverine is just IRONICALLY menacing.

Here's a video that, if anything, will make you realize just how often Hugh Jackman is forced to make the "I'm menacingly extracting my claws!" movement with his arms during production of every "X-Men" or "Wolverine" movie (in which the "give character large adamantium claws" button on Final Cut is used liberally in post).

That's because our good, clever buddies at FilmDrunk took the new "The Wolverine" trailer and replaced every "SHAWINNNGGG" (copyright "Wayne's World," 1992) sound that is made every time Wolverine's claws come out... with the sound of a slide whistle. And to be completely honest, we can't say it's any better or worse than before, it's just more noticeable. And hilarious.

There are pros and cons to the idea of the sound in the actual movie. For one pro, you have to think Wolverine would get even more enraged (in a good way — like a "Now you're really dead!" way) if he had to hear that noise every time he did it. A solid con, however, would be that we as audience members would have to listen to that sound 20-25+ times every Wolverine movie.

Either way, it's something to consider for the next go-around.

Those clever YouTube elves have delivered a new treat: All of Marvel's Phase One films boiled down to a three minute tribute.

In case you missed the memo, "Iron Man 3" hits theaters today. And not only does it feature Robert Downey Jr. once again kicking butt and slinging quips at the speed of light, it also signifies something more important: The beginning of Marvel's highly anticipated Phase Two.

So what better time than now to check out this sweet YouTube tribute to the awesomeness of Marvel's Phase One?

Put together by the people at the JoBlo Movie Network, this new viral video takes a a look back at the first round of Marvel madness — "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers" — and seamlessly threads them together into three epic minutes you'll never forget.

Plus, with preview clips from both "Iron Man 3" and "Thor: The Dark World," there's even a bit of a tease for what's to come in Phase Two, which is set to culminate with 2015's "The Avengers 2."

Man, we love it when a plan comes together.

One of the perks of being born within the last thirty or forty years or so is the generational right to gently mock our silly little elders who have no earthly clue how to use the internet or iPhones or basically any other techno-gadget Gen X has conceived.

Put another way, it's fun to f**k with your parents, as the maker of the embedded video above did to a lighthearted degree for the benefit of the rest of us. This chap asked his mother to watch "The Matrix," which she did, and then he asked her to retell him the plot of the movie, which he then animated into a cartoonish video maximizing the full uses of photoshop. Simple, and brilliant.

A few bullet-point highlights:

Neo and Trinity meet at the bar from "Cheers."

Morpheus is now "Moshimo" and has stolen the hat of Rayden from "Mortal Kombat."

Neo's name changes to "Leo" halfway through the movie.

Basically, the video is pretty much if you watched "The Matrix" right before you fell asleep and then dreamt about it. It's a must-watch. Please do enjoy the adventures of Leo and Moshimo.

With the acknowledgement that I'm often prone to hyperbole, I watched :17 seconds of the above video and immediately declared it out loud to be the best video in the history of time. It was Pepper Potts being played in drag by an overweight dude from Thailand. Who knew this whole time that that was all you needed to acquire the elusive crown?

To explain: Above we have embedded a Thailand-based fan-recreated version of the latest trailer for "Iron Man 3," otherwise known as the process of "Sweding," and to be completely honest with you, it might be better than the actual, real trailer of the movie. I almost don't want to see the actual movie now because I'm afraid it won't live up to the expectations yielded from watching this version of the trailer. (Almost.)

Still, I can guarantee that you won't be able to look at Gwyneth Paltrow in the movie without seeing her counterpart from this video, which I consider a blessing. As is the fact that this video exists at all.

Please stop reading this now and enjoy it for yourself. You're welcome.

What happens when you combine "Star Trek" and "Lincoln"? Magic.

In our continuing coverage of the fact that video editors secretly rule the universe, here is an extremely well-done mashup of "Star Trek" — the William Shatner/Leonard Nimoy versions, of course, because ain't nobody got tiiiiime for Chris Pine — and a gentleman dressed as Abraham Lincoln.

Because what if Lincoln was in space helping Captain Kirk? Haven't we all asked ourselves that question from time to time? Don't answer that, because I'll answer for you: Yes. Yes, we have.

And here's the thing: Abraham Lincoln's already been a f**king vampire hunter, for crying out loud. What exactly is so crazy about him being in space? If there is a third installment of the current "Star Trek" franchise (the one we don't have tiiiime for), is an appearance from Abraham Lincoln really out of the question? Do we truly believe that J.J. Abrams would watch this one-minute video and say, "That's insane, even for me"?

What I'm saying is this: Get ready for "Star Trek: The Rise of Lincoln," in theaters June 2016.

Willie Nelson wants to replace Ian McKellen as Gandalf in "The Hobbit."

Willie Nelson is famous for two things: Being one of the greatest country musicians ever and being one of the greatest proponents of weed ever. Meanwhile, Gandalf the Grey is also famous for two things: Saving Middle-earth from the evil of Sauron and enjoying the halfling leaf far too much.

So it only makes sense that, as this new video from Team Coco shows, Nelson wants to replace Ian McKellen as Gandalf in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."

Not that Willie is going to make a big deal about it, of course. After all, he's far too mellow for that. But since he does feel such a strong bond with J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary wizard, Nelson did put together this impressive audition reel to show director Peter Jackson just what the red headed stranger can bring to the table.

And as for McKellen, well, as Nelson himself puts it, "He's a good actor. But hell, I'm Willie Nelson!"

Hard to argue with that.

The "Star Wars" franchise is that nerdy little gift that just keeps on giving, one generation after another.

Not only is Disney furiously piecing together "Episode VII" to usher in a third round of installments in a galaxy not so far away, but cool items just keep poppin' on up from the first go-round as well.

Last time we learned something new about "Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back" our minds were totally blown in discovering Yoda's original first name, and today's new landing is just as fascinating.

Behold a starship-load of new behind-the-scenes pictures from "Episode V" featuring a cast which was clearly having fun with their out-of-this-world-successful film franchise.

First of all, it's clear Harrison Ford just looked the other way if and when things got weird with Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher ...

... and Princess Leia is totes a slothy Disney Princess ...

... and she, uh, clearly got around ...

... and most importantly, this was a team effort ...

... and Harrison Ford was a total bleeping stud.

Disney's princesses need to be taken down a peg or two once in a while for posterity's sake, and what better way than this sloth mash-up series which calls 'em out for being lazy little prisspants?

To be fair, these girls are super young — we're talkin' straight up jailbait here, fellas — but that totally doesn't excuse them from lounging around waiting on their knight in shining whatever to come around and plant a smooch on them so they'll get their rears outta their canopied beds.

It's sooo not the millennial way of things, got it girls?

Graphic artist Phillip Light decided to imbue a little reality into the picture when it comes to some of these cartoon heroines and voila! The layabouts are revealed as Snow Sloth and The Little Slothmaid and Slothmin ...

Not so wonderful and magical now, are they? Although the cuteness factor did go up just a pinch, the gals totally look better on two feet when they're wielding some awesome ass-kickin' devices. Cause, ya know, girl power and such.

There are more where these pics came from.

Watch their charm spells cancel each other out via animated GIF.

Ugh, they even make dorky magic battles look endearing.

In an effort to create further evidence that any activity can look effortlessly glamorous, Prince William and Kate Middleton engaged in a giggly wizard fight on their recent tour of Leavesden Studios, famously known as one of the primary filming locations of the "Harry Potter" films. Honestly, it couldn't look any better if they meticulously choreographed it — the poise, the synchronized timing, the flirty "oh, you think you can defeat me?!" facial expression Kate flashes Prince William as their royal wands meet (see below) — it’s almost too perfect. In fact, it's almost hypnotic, like a battle of charm that perpetually begins yet never seems to commence. Whatever spell they both just cast, we caught it, and it is glorious.

Prince Harry, bless him, even nails the J.K. Rowling-approved "swish and flick" wand motion. In a word: magical.

Ron Burgundy and Macklemore Sittin' in a Tree...

So, sure, all mashups we put up on NextMovie have an element of fun to them, but we admit that there are other supercuts and juxtapositions worthy of our attention out there. This is one of those transcendent mashups, and we can thank the smooth, dulcet sounds of Ron Burgundy and Macklemore for that. (Actually we can thank whoever flawlessly edited this video, but still.)

Whereas most mashups are on-the-surface quick cuts, this one gets into the nitty gritty of the movie itself and blends its notable quotables with the song's lyrics as smoothly as an apartment that smells of rich mahogany. It turns out that "Thrift Shop" and "Anchorman" were made for each other.

It makes you wish that "Thrift Shop" was a song from the '70s (yes, the only song featuring a white rapper and a DJ from the '70s) so it could have been put into the first movie. And sadly, by the time "Anchorman 2" comes out, we're all going to be sick of "Thrift Shop" and wish it was never made. It's just one of those facts of life that we'll have to accept.

Maybe in another life, guys. Until then, keep on keeping on in this beautiful mashup.

David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" was a B.F.D. during this year's awards season, not just because it made Jennifer Lawrence a giant star — with meme fare to prove it — but also because it drew out all the feels.

With the eight-time Oscar-nominated flick poised to hit DVD next week, MTV now presents this exclusive glimpse at the film's alternate ending. In the new scene, the off-kilter little family unit's leader, Robert De Niro's obsessive Pat Sr., is having an outright conniption over the very presence of a Vikings shirt in his Eagles-only abode. The nerve of some people.

Meanwhile, Lawrence's Tiffany and Bradley Cooper's now almost sane Pat Jr. do some snugglin' and fast-chattin' while Chris Tucker's Danny, who's made a break from the looney bin once again, takes some cooking instructions from Jacki Weaver's mama Delores.

So, pretty much business as usual in the Solitano household.

With all the commotion, it's no wonder the Academy threw the whole lot a sack of noms this year. It's hard to even tell who's saying what at certain points ... which is kinda what makes the movie totally brill in the first place.

"Silver Linings Playbook" hits DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, April 30.

Well, maybe not "better," but perhaps ... more inspired?

The Republic of Ghana is a country in West Africa. The name "Ghana" means "Warrior King," though we think "Artist King" is more like it, judging from all the bootleg posters that local illustrators provide when official studio one-sheets are hard to come by.

The posters are often both hilarious and stunningly imaginative, showcasing the artist's usually rather bizarre individual interpretation of a particular film. Really, we think we might need to watch movies like "Planet Terror" and maybe even "Catwoman" (shudder to think!) again, 'cause these drawings cast the films in a whole new light.

Check out some examples below, and head over to Twisted Sifter for oh so many more. Really, you'll want more than one for your own bedroom or office wall.

No, the Joker wasn't busted for hosting a speakeasy with some bathtub gin. But he sure looks like it. Why so serious?

Canadian CG artist Jason Mark (aka Jempix) created a series of Batman villains based off a collection of 1920s vintage Australian mugshots, as one does. Pictures of the shady mates were featured at the Sydney Justice and Police Museum. Over in the Gotham City archives, we've got "The Usual Suspects": Joker (John Doe), Two-Face (Harvey Dent), Mr. Freeze (Victor Fries), and Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot). Instead of looking like Lindsay Lohan after a wild night of partying, they look pretty dapper and not at all remorseful. Must be the lack of orange jumpsuit.

Moral of the story: it was much cooler to be arrested back in the day when your mugshot looked more like an instagram filter and less like a...well...mugshot.

Check out a few of our favorites below, and the series at Jempix's blog.

Hey, is that Tilda Swinton? And...is she dancing toward me right now?

Tilda Swinton napped in a glass box in the middle of MoMA in the name of art only a few weeks ago, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that she took over a screening at Ebertfest by jumping into the crowd and inciting a dance party among the moviegoers before the film began.

"I'm sorry, what?"

Yes, she jumped into the crowd and started dancing to Barry White music out of nowhere. After being flummoxed that this was happening for a few minutes, the crowd even joined along, even if it was just in the form of some in-sync clapping from middle-aged white people. (Then again, what the hell else were they supposed to do?) Some lucky (?) folks were even brought on stage to dance at the end. Sorry, guys.

These types of off-camera acts from Swinton are becoming so frequent that it's apparent she needs an adjective of her own, which I'll be happy to coin right now: Swintonian. And this was a Swintonian event, if there ever was one.

Tilda, we wait with baited breath for your next stupefyingly weird, thoroughly Swintonian stunt.

As we all understand and acknowledge, every indie movie that has ever come out, ever, has the exact same plodding, morose trailer featuring a couple dudes doing mundane things with a look of innate sadness plastered on their faces the entire time.

With this idea in mind, some clever individuals recently came out with the trailer for "Home Without, Marleqta," which, in addition to not making any sense grammatically, isn't actually a real movie (we think — if it is, we'd watch it, give it an A- and call it "Triumphant" and/or "Powerful" or something, to play our part).

And though you and me and everyone we know has never met or known anyone named "Marleqta," it goes without saying that now we feel like our lives have been meaningless without a "Marleqta" in them.

So if anyone out there named "Marleqta" wants to just hang out near us from time to time at NextMovie, we'd give you some sort of bi-monthly stipend to just stand there and let us call you your name occasionally so we can jump up and down and clap.*

Otherwise, let's all just let this one trailer do the job of all indie trailers everywhere. You're welcome, filmmakers: you're off trailer duty for the rest of time.

*Not a real job. Sorry, worldwide Marleqtas.**

**"Worldwide Marleqtas" — great emo band name.

Yes, Viginia, this is what pure joy looks like. Robert De Niro, meet Lil Bub. Lil Bub, meet our good friend Bobby.

The internet's most famous genetically mutated cat and the Tribeca Film Festival's most famous founder (and noted softy) shook paws at the festival's Director's Brunch Tuesday afternoon. From what we can see, the two got along famously. (Get it?) And correct us if we're wrong, but is Bobby trying to make Bubface?

A documentary about Bub's ridiculously adorable life being worshipped just for being a ridiculously adorable perma-kitten, "Lil Bub & Friendz," has screened throughout the week at the festival.

Keep calm and Bub on, everyone.

Behold some impressive alternate visions of Tony Stark's third solo adventure.

Ya know, movie studios would save a lot of money if they just let the fans take care of the marketing.

The official posters for "Iron Man 3" are pretty cool, especially that one where bruised and battered Tony Stark is plummeting to Earth, a grim image that perfectly captures the super-high stakes of the billionaire industrialist/superhero's third stand-alone adventure. The poster where Stark emerges from the water as his Malibu HQ burns behind him and the sky is filled with other Iron Men is pretty sweet, too.

But when it comes to comic book movie posters, no one can do it quite like the fans ... especially the ones who know Photoshop. ShortList recently commissioned 12 of their favorite artists to conjure their own "Iron Man 3" posters, and the results are nothing short of spectacular. Check out some examples below, and head over to ShortList for the rest.

"Iron Man 3" opens May 3.

There were human versions of Disney's most classic characters, and these side-by-side mash-up pics of them will blow your mind.

Ready to have your mind blown, children of Disney's classics?

First of all, you know how Tinkerbell and Alice and Maleficent and all those were flitting around, doing their melodic little dances of whimsy and whatnot? Yeah, well, to help the animators capture those moments in cartoon form, there were sets of real-life performers who acted the various scenes out for reference. Seriously.

For example, do you remember the Mad Hatter watch scene in "Alice In Wonderland"? Kooky as that fella was, a vaudeville star named Ed Wynn played out the scene first.

It's pretty good in human form too, no?

And as if that video mash-up of Wynn's performance wasn't enough, the net-scouring wizards of Reddit unearthed a batch of Disney stills with character and human counterparts side-by-side to really trip us all out.

Told ya you'd be baffled. Those costumes! Those expressions! The poses! It's all so familiar and yet brand new at the same time. Amazing. And, guess what? There are even more at Reddit.

The 'Man of Steel' trailer using 'Superman: The Animated Series' footage.

The newest "Man of Steel" trailer came out a mere six days ago. It's longer than most trailers, clocking in at a little over three minutes. It's a great trailer in that it's revealing without spoiling anything, it's supremely detailed, and it definitely couldn't be remade just using clips from "Superman: The Animated Series," especially in less than a week.

And then just when you think you've underestimated the internet for the final time, someone remakes the newest "Man of Steel" trailer just using clips from "Superman: the Animated Series" in less than a week. And get this: It's completely smooth. It fits like a <del>tight Superman costume</del> glove, because of course it does and nothing surprises us anymore.

To give you an idea of just how smoothly the two trailers run with each other, we've embedded the actual "Man of Steel" trailer below for you to click at the exact same time, "Wizard of Oz"/"Dark Side of the Moon" style. Only by watching both simultaneously can you fully appreciate the anonymous internet video editor, there to leap tall buildings in a single bound/rescue us from submerged school buses/anonymously video edit cool things.

Boston, you've had a hell of a week. This one's for you.

The great capital of Massachusetts has been trapped in its own horror movie upon last week's terrorist acts at the Boston Marathon and the subsequent city-wide manhunt for the suspects. Thankfully, it looks like the nightmare has ended and Boston can go back to being the greatest city in New England without serving as the unwilling host to those who would look to do it and its citizens harm.

As a tribute to Beantown, the wizards at Film.com have conjured this mashup that highlights some of Boston's great moments in the movies, with scenes from "Gone Baby Gone," "The Last Detail," "Good Will Hunting," "Legally Blonde," "The Fighter," "The Social Network" and many more. Oh, and Cliff from "Cheers" provides some Wikipedia-esque narration as well.

We think you'll like dem apples. Enjoy.

Tie yourself down to whatever chair you're sitting in, because this video is gonna be a rough f**king ride.

If you are a part of the University of Maryland's Delta Gamma sorority, last week you received what can only be described as a scary, threatening, borderline violent email from one of your executive board members about how much you suck, a letter which was leaked to and subsequently thoroughly enjoyed by the rest of the human race.

And while the email itself was indeed quite terrifying (on so many levels), there were ways to make it even scarier — like, say, having Michael Shannon read it aloud to a camera in a dark room, as Funny or Die did this morning. Imagine Michael f**king Shannon (sorry, feeling the vibe of the video) sending that email to you? How quickly, exactly, would you do your best to go from "lame and awkward" to "not lame and awkward"? Pretty f**king quickly, we're guessing.

It makes you wonder: what else can Michael Shannon read aloud on camera? Can someone give him the Declaration of Independence to read on the 4th of July every year at the base of the Washington Monument? I'm starting to think that would be the most appropriate way to honor our forefathers.

Throwback alert! With the buzz of the hottest films of 2013 coming up this summer, let us not forget those that have gone before us. Supercut Originals created a mashup that brings back the most memorable movies of a decade ago...that magical year of 2003. Back in a time when the new millennium was still new, directors taught us to just keep swimming, that being the big G-O-D ain't easy, and the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

It was a good year for Will Ferrell with "Old School" and one of the most quotable Christmas movies of all time, "Elf." Nautical nonsense was a common theme: a clownfish searched the seas for his son, "Open Water" made everyone fear scuba diving, Ewan McGregor tried to catch a "Big Fish" and swaggery pirates plundered the Caribbean. The first attempt to "Kill Bill" was made, Jim Carrey played God, Jack Black played rock, and Billy Bob Thornton played a really bad mall Santa. And let's not forget all the sequels! (and threequels?)

The video's was nice enough to add a honorable mention list of movies that didn't make the cut. Let the head scratching commence at why "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" wasn't featured.

Screw Sesame Street, learn to count with this video!

From the files of "Minute-long videos that likely took significantly longer than one minute to create," above we have a supercut of film characters teaming up to count down from 50 to 1. Why? Well, let me ask you this: why not? This is 'Merica, and people (namely, the appropriately monikered "supercutonline") can make random supercut videos in their free time if they so choose.

And if you haven't yet learned to count — we all have secrets — what better way to learn than Harry Potter and Legolas shouting numbers at you without any other context? What if we all learned to count this way? How much of a better place would the world be? It's fair to consider.

For the sake of America's youth, I hope whoever came up with the idea for the video (if it wasn't the video's creator him/herself) saw the video and said, "This is great, but I actually asked for a 75 to 1 countdown, if you remember. So if you could get to work on that immediately, that would be great." After all, those who actually are learning to count from the video aren't going to want to stop at 50. They've got higher-numbered fish to fry.

And after 75, why not keep going forever? I'm sure some movie character out there somewhere has said "24,713" at some point in film history.

We await the next installment with feverish anticipation.

If there are two things we love in this world, it's curmudgeonly dudes and "Star Wars" (natch). Therefore, it's kiiiiind of a given that we're really into Harrison Ford, the O.G. Jedi.

Unfortunately, in a guest slot on Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show last night, Ford repeatedly mumbled excuses and refusals to talk about any involvement in the upcoming "Episode VII," or really anything related to the intergalactically-beloved films.

"You know, there's nothing...I can't," he mumbled.

Cue audience questions from, in turn, a lightsaber-wielding gent, another berobed Jedi, and the one and only Chewbacca.

Cue an amazing Chewbacca chew-out from Ford.

If you've ever wanted to hear a septuagenarian utter the words "you Wookiee sack of s**t" (it's a very specific desire, but a desire nonetheless), then we can pretty much guarantee you're going to love the above clip.

Oh, and for the record: We're totally on Chewie's side here.

Who needs Ashton Kutcher when you've got Justin Long?

Kutcher's Steve Jobs biopic, "Jobs," was supposed to open this Friday but got pulled from the calendar. And that Jobs biopic that Aaron Sorkin is supposed to write will happen ... some day. Which means that the first official (well, official-ish) Jobs flick out the gate is "iSteve," produced by Funny or Die.

Justin Long, who's long (ha! Funny or Die, after all!) been a slinger of Apple products in his "Hi, I'm a PC / And I'm a Mac" commercials, plays the Apple co-founder and CEO, with Jorge Garcia playing the part of Steve Wozniak and — in a bit of pitch-perfect casting — James Urbaniak as Microsoft guru Bill Gates.

Watch the trailer above, and watch the entire 78-minute movie at Funny or Die. And just think ... all of it actually happened.

If Disney is really going to release a new "Star Wars" movie every year, they're going to need ideas ... lots of ideas.

If Disney is really going to release a new "Star Wars" movie every year, they're going to need ideas ... lots of ideas. Luckily, Patton Oswalt is here to provide enough plot points to fill a dozen movies.

Oswalt recently filmed a guest appearance on NBC's "Parks and Recreation" and was asked by the producers to just go ahead and rant about whatever topics came to mind (which is how most television comedies are "directed" these days). What came to mind was an intricately detailed — and, in many ways, rather brilliant — description of what would make for the perfect "Star Wars: Episode VII." And the new movie can't be limited to just the "Star Wars" galaxy, mind you — the film would have to involve a crossover with "Marvel's The Avengers" and even "Clash of the Titans." Obviously.

J.J. Abrams, Joss Whedon — are you guys listening, or are you just sitting around counting the mountain of cash you sleep on every night and making Shakespeare movies in your back yards with your famous friends? This is brainstorming GOLD, gentlemen!

Watch it. Heed it. Live it.

The Mad Men star quickly learns that muppet celebrities let the humans do the dirty work.

Don Draper has officially made his way from Madison Avenue to Sesame Street.

Citing the undeniable fact that the "Mad Men" star’s rugged good looks seem as if they’re already carved from marble, Sesame Street decided to team up Jon Hamm with a beret-topped Elmo in order to educate America’s children about the wide world of sculpture.

Unfortunately, Elmo clearly doesn't feel the need to teach those same children about teamwork.

Throughout the clip, a huffing and puffing Hamm is helplessly forced to drag an assortment of heavy sculptures into frame despite his desperate pleas for muppet assistance. In response, Elmo relegates himself to the self-indulgent deed of carving his own visage into a rock while coldly disengaged from his adoring young fans.

"Please, show your sculpture now, please! Before I get a hernia!" Hamm begs the thoughtless fur-covered celebrity at one point in the clip. Elmo, who is clearly far beyond taking orders at this point in his career at the Children’s Television Workshop, answers Hamm with a curt "no." The lesson here, kids: Never interrupt Elmo's creative process.

Watch Jon Hamm engage in great feats of strength for the sake of arts education in the clip above.

The inimitable Patton Oswalt stars as the Penguin in this laugh-out-loud (I mean that in a literal way, not in a "standard adjective for funny" way; I laughed out loud while watching it) video from College Humor that co-stars fellow comedian Pete Holmes as the Caped Crusader.

In the video, the Penguin and Commissioner Gordon good-naturedly but futilely attempt to explain to Batman that his "one rule" — that he will not kill people — has actually been broken several times, before ultimately realizing that Batman has no actual grasp of the concept of death. Batman gruesomely kills multiple criminals mid-conversation without realizing that they are dead and not "asleep," which astounds both Gordon and the Penguin. Then things take a turn for the ultra-violent.

I'll stop explaining the joke of the video and let you just watch it yourself, but before you do, understand that after watching it, you're going to want to watch all three Christopher Nolan-directed "Batman" movies and count how many criminals Bruce Wayne actually kills.*

*I counted — it's 278.**
**Just kidding. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Consider this scenario: You're visiting the Tenenbaums at 111 Archer Avenue. You need to find the ballroom, but you don't know where the ballroom is, and it's a big house. Richie is watching old tennis highlights of himself, Margot is fighting with Raleigh, and Chas is putting the boys to bed, so there's no one to help you. What to do?

Enter Jennifer Lewis of Flavorwire's detailed floor plans of the homes of Wes Anderson films — not just that of 111 Archer Ave from "The Royal Tenenbaums," but also of the Belafonte from "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou," Summer's End from "Moonrise Kingdom," and Beech Tree from "Fantastic Mr. Fox." (If you're taking the hike to Archer, it stands to reason that you might also visit the other three.) With the Tenenbaum home floor plan in hand in the opening scenario, you'd walk straight to the fourth floor without any Tenenbaum family member yelling at you for bothering them.

Though it's impossible (unless Anderson himself chimes in) to verify the accuracy of these cross-sections, they're pretty impressive, almost to the point where if Lewis is incorrect in any way, Anderson should probably still just keep his mouth shut.

Check out the awesome graphic for the Tenenbaums' home below, and click through to Flavorwire to see more.

"Saturday Night Live" takes a look at Al Pacino's recent habit of filming biopics about accused killers.

Al Pacino is one of the most respected actors of his — or any — generation. But let's face it: Recently he's been chewing more scenery than a koala riding a giraffe. And he especially seems to be into biopics about accused murderers, from his look at Dr. Jack Kervorkian in "You Don't Know Jack" to taking on the title role in "Phil Spector." If the role requires shouting, googly eyes and a crazy wig, Pacino is your go-to guy.

Which is why this new "Saturday Night Live" clip is so great. Because as Abraham Lincoln once said, "it's funny because it's true."

So what's this clip about? Well, it's pretty simple: Bill Hader plays Pacino playing all sorts of other famous accused killers. But sometimes the simplest jokes are the funniest, especially when you've got Hader delivering a dead on Pacino impersonation.

Hey, we love Pacino as much as the next movie website. But we loved him even more when he was, you know, good. Maybe this spoof will give him the kick in the pants he needs to dial it down a notch. And if not?

Well, we know someone who makes some really amazing wigs.

Whiny kitty or Wookiee? You might be surprised.

If you've ever doubted that the Internet is an endless source of unnecessary exercises in stupidity, may we present to you: Things That Sounds Like Chewbacca But Aren't. YouTuber kollektivetLivet has scoured the Interwebs, cobbling together a supercut of sorts that helps us all differentiate things that sound like Chewbacca from things that, well, aren't Chewbacca, as you might have guessed.

Even "Star Wars" aficionados might have trouble telling the difference between Chewie and guys getting tasered. Or guys gurgling water. Or frenetic felines and cantankerous canines or ...what is that, a mechanical toilet or something?

Consider it a PSA of sorts: the more you know about vacuum cleaners, the more you know about Wookiees. You learn something every day!
