We all know Zoe Saldana is an action hero on screen, but now she's a real-life hero off-screen as well.
After witnessing a traffic accident in Culver City yesterday, the "Avatar" star leapt out of her vehicle and rushed to help one of the victims, whose face had been bloodied by the collision. With the assistance of another passer-by, she managed to get the dazed woman out of her car and safely seated on the sidewalk.
Once the woman was out of harm's way, Saldana called emergency services and then remained on the scene until help arrived. According to the Daily Mail, the actress wasn't willing to leave until she was assured the woman was going to be alright. Guess whatever high-powered Hollywood executives she was meeting with just had to wait.
In images from the scene (kudos to the photog who snapped these gems by the way), Saldana appears genuinely concerned, and maybe even a little shaken, as she helps the victim, places a call and chats with a team of first-responders made up of three police officers and two firemen.
With the risk of stating the obvious, we gotta say she looks pretty good for someone just cruisin' around the City of Angels in some old Ugg boots and skinny jeans — even her glasses are hot. It's certainly nice to hear a story like this that shows that just because you're beautiful, famous and call Bradley Cooper your boyfriend, doesn't mean you can't have a heart of gold. We can only guess what her man thinks of her heroics, but he's got to be pretty proud.
