What do Larry David and Rebecca Hall have in common?
They're both members of the (unofficial) Woody Allen Surrogates Club, which unites actors who have risen to the challenge of playing a lead in one of the writer/ director's films—a role that almost certainly forced each thesp to adopt some decidedly "Woody" characteristics.
Like what, you ask?
Like playing a stammering intellectual who frequently makes highbrow references and peppers conversation with bon mots (clever remarks, for those of you who slept through French class). Or, you know, something like that.
This video, courtesy of Film Drunk, will clarify everything.
As far as we know, members of this club are not required to keep their "Woody" traits beyond filming, though it seems that some do.
