LEGOs have never been so … well, dark.
"The Dark Knight Rises" trailer has been recreated — or is it rebuilt? — shot for shot with everyone's favorite construction toys, courtesy of the Rogues Gallery over at Paranickfilmz.
Somewhat surprisingly, the foreboding and menacing tone of the trailer for director Christopher Nolan's final chapter of his Batman trilogy isn't lost in the translation from live action to LEGO. In fact, there's something rather unnerving about watching a Gotham City besieged by the masked terrorist Bane as played out the little building blocks and their iconic figurines — especially when it involves the caving in of a football field.
Watch as the LEGO counterparts of Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), Alfred (Michael Caine), Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Bane (Tom Hardy) take charge of the summer movie season. "The Dark Knight Rises" opens July 20.
