Seth MacFarlane Goes Hollywood On 'SNL'

NBC

Seth MacFarlane might be best known for his television work(see: "Family Guy," "The Cleveland Show," "American Dad") but that's now changing thanks to his international smash hit comedy "Ted," which proved that his talents fit the big screen even better than the small screen.

And judging by his opening monologue on "Saturday Night Live" last night, that seems to suit MacFarlane just fine, as the impressionist paid tribute to a number of Hollywood icons, including Kermit the Frog, Marty McFly and George Takei.

Oh, my.

Of course, MacFarlane hasn't exactly abandoned his TV roots either, so there's plenty of Stewie, Peter and Quagmire in this clip, which features MacFarlane holding an extremely schizophrenic — and funny — conversation with his many selves. But once you hear the siren song of the movies, it's hard to deny it, as MacFarlane proves with his own musical number.
