Sam Rockwell has gone up against Iron Man, aliens, and even the Moon, but it's simple chemistry that turns him on his head in his next project.
Variety reports that Rockwell is in talks to star as a pharmacist who becomes engaged in some less healthy pursuits in dark comedy thriller "Better Living Through Chemistry," alongside Jennifer Garner and Michelle Monaghan. Jeremy Renner had reportedly signed onto the part originally.
"Chemistry" tells the age-old story of boy marrying girl (Monaghan), boy getting bored of his job and his wife, and finding himself wrapped up in a prescription-fueled affair-turned-murder plot with another man's arm candy (Garner). Or, as they call it in Hollywood, Saturday night.
The script, narrated by Judi Dench, comes to us from first-time directors David Posamentier and Geoff Moore. Felipe Marino and Joe Neurauter of Occupant Films, the company behind 2008's "The Wackness," starring Mary-Kate Olsen and Ben Kingsley, will produce.
