Just like College said on the "Drive" soundtrack, Ryan Gosling is a real human being and a real hero.
According to her Twitter account, feminist journalist Laurie Penny of the left-wing British publication New Statesman was crossing the street in New York City when the "Crazy, Stupid, Love" star swooped in to save her during a crazy stupid moment of not looking both ways.
Penny Tweeted, "I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened. I was crossing 6th avenue in a new pink wig. Not looking the right way because I am from London. Ryan Gosling grabbed me away from a taxi."
Apparently it wasn't this lucky Penny's first time getting saved by a pedestrian, as she claims several other "more anonymous New Yorkers" have done the same for her during her sojourn in the States, and makes reference to a certain internet meme we happen to enjoy around here.
"He did not say 'hey, girl.' He said 'hey, watch out!' Identity of no-idea-if-actually-a-manarchist-but-definitely-a-decent-sort Ryan Gosling confirmed by girl near me, who said 'you lucky bitch.'"
Who knew Gosling was such a good Samaritan? Maybe it's just karma for all the other goslings that people have let safely cross the street?
