Rose Byrne now knows her "Place."
The "Bridemaids" star will be getting her crime drama on as she joins the cast of "The Place Beyond the Pines," according to Vulture.
"The Place" reunites star Ryan Gosling with his "Blue Valentine" director, Derek Cianfrance, for a tale of a motorcycle-riding bank robber who crosses paths with a policeman turned politician (Bradley Cooper).
Byrne will be playing Cooper's wife, a role that was originally planned for Greta Gerwig ("No Strings Attached"), who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with promoting Whit Stilman's new film, "Damsels in Distress."
Fresh off her role as Helen in "Bridesmaids," Rose Byrne was also recently seen as government agent and part-time undercover stripper Moira MacTaggert in "X-Men: First Class" and as a terrified wife/mom whose husband and son are astral-projecting freaks in the haunted house thriller, "Insidious."
Rose was actually looking a bit too skinny and stressed out in that last one -- hopefully that just came with the territory of having your kid's consciousness snatched by a red-faced demon that likes to listen to an old vinyl of Tiny Tim's "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" over and over.
"The Place Beyond the Pines" is currently shooting in Schenectady and is scheduled for release sometime in 2013.
