Daniel Craig — who plays the piercingly blue-eyed James Bond — has accepted perhaps his most rewarding, and dangerous mission yet: marriage.
The sometimes-007 tied the knot with Oscar winner Rachel Weisz last Wednesday, June 22, in New York in a (seriously) private ceremony attended by a total of four (yes, four) guests that included Daniel's 18-year-old daughter Ella, Weisz's four-year-old son Henry, and two "family friends" who acted as witnesses.
According to a source, "Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding. They are madly in love and couldn't wait to be husband and wife, but they wanted minimum fuss."
Well, they succeeded — and after quite a brief courtship. As reported by People, they were first linked last fall and soon after spent the Christmas holidays together in the U.K.
Hey, sometimes when you know, you know.
Weisz announced her split from boyfriend of nine years, director Darren Aronofsky, in November 2010, while Craig also split from his longtime love, Satsuki Mitchell, in 2010.
The real-life newlyweds will play husband and wife in the mystery thriller "Dream House," which hits theaters Sept. 30, and Weisz will star in the drama "The Whistleblower," out August 5.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
