If you're a fan of the book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," you're undoubtedly wondering (or worried) about how far the movie will stray from Stephen Chbosky's original work. Luckily, we went right to the source.
We caught up with Chbosky (who also directed the film) as well as the movie's stars, Emma Watson, Nina Dobrev and Ezra Miller. They gave us some insight into how the movie differs from the original book and how they think audiences will react to the much anticipated film... and those pesky changes.
"It's a very different medium, and I knew that if I was 100 percent faithful to the book, that the movie would not have the same catharsis as the book had," Chbosky told NextMovie. "I knew I needed to find the cinematic equivalent to get you to the same moment coming out of the tunnel."
