"The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley and his magnificent jaw line are headed to Louisiana, but it isn't for a quickie with Sookie.

The young actor will be joining Billy Bob Thorton and Eva Longoria in "The Baytown Disco," where Wesley will be playing a federal agent, of all things. No fangs necessary!

Barry Battles will be making his full-length directorial debut; he also co-wrote the script with Griffin Hood. The script has been loitering about since appearing on 2009's Hollywood "Black List," a yearly compilation of scripts that film execs liked but which aren't being made into movies in that particular year. Yeah, we don't get it either. But what it does mean is that if you look really hard, you can probably peep the script online already.

But back to "The Baytown Disco." According to The Wrap, Wesley's character federal agent Anthony Reese "comes into a small Southern town to investigate the Oodies -- three redneck brothers who get more than they bargained for after agreeing to help a woman get her son back from his seemingly abusive father." Rednecks! Crime! Bloodsheld! Belly laughs! Alligators! (Okay, that last part is just wishful thinking.)

The Wrap has previously reported that Meagan Good ("Jumping the Broom"), Clayne Crawford ("A Walk to Remember"), Serinda Swan ("Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief") and Thomas Sangster ("Love Actually") will also appear in the movie.

Okay, so let's guess that Billy Bob is the seemingly abusive father, Longoria is the lady in question, and young Sangster will be the kidnapped son. Who will be the Oodies? (We ask ourselves that every day. Every. Day.)

No word when it's filming, but probably this summer while Wesley's free from his vampin' duties!
