Protecting yourself from a suspected demonic possession — or worse, a demon itself — is not easy. It's suggested firstly that you obtain some holy water, preferably in a large quantity. Other key implements to help you in your hour of need include religious paraphernalia, a protective circle in the form of a pentagram drawn on the floor, intervention by trained mystics and, if all else fails, perhaps the judicious use of a high gauge shotgun.

"Paranormal Activity 4," of course, screams into theaters on Friday. And the latest installment of the low-budget, found-footage horror franchise looks to be the scariest yet, with events that pick up where "Paranormal Activity 2" left off and escalate — seriously escalate from — there.
