Having been a fixture on British TV since she was 11 years old, Felicity Jones has made the jump across the pond with her breakout role in the Sundance Grand Prize-winning film "Like Crazy." But she’s not just another pretty Brit. Here’s why we think you’ll be seeing more of Jones in the years to come.
Hometown: Birmingham, England
What She’s Done: Starred in "Doctor Who" and a miniseries adaptation of "The Diary of Anne Frank" in the UK. She was also in the Ricky Gervais comedy "Cemetery Junction" (it was a straight-to-DVD title in the States) and Julie Taymor’s adaptation of "The Tempest."
What She’s Doing Now: In "Like Crazy" she plays Anna, a sweet college student who, while studying abroad in L.A., falls for fellow student Jacob (Anton Yelchin). Things couldn't be better until Anna returns to London after her visa expiration date, making her relationship with Jacob not only long-distant, but also up in the air.
Reminds Us of: The girl-next-door beauty of Natalie Portman, the wide-eyed innocence of Alexis Bledel and the acting diversity of fellow countrywoman Carey Mulligan.
Fun Facts: Turned down the lead in the (as-of-yet-untitled) Snow White film opposite Julia Roberts to do a play in London.
Quotable: About sending an audition tape to "Like Crazy" director Drake Doremus that included her in the shower, she told Interview, "Filming myself in the shower was just very instinctive. It was a close-up! But I didn't really think about it then. Only afterwards I thought, 'He is going to think I'm completely insane.' But by that time I'd already sent it."
Shout-Out: "[She's] extremely generous with how she attacks performing a character, and she’s always doing what’s best for the movie and the story and not what she looks like or how she comes across," Doremus told /Film. "It’s all about making the best movie possible and what’s best for the story. So she’s rare, she's kind of a throwback in a way."
Famous Friends: Unlike Anna, Jones has no drama in the relationship department in real life, as she’s in a long-term relationship with sculptor/conceptual artist Ed Fornieles. She's close with Carey Mulligan and keeps in touch with Keira Knightley since starring with her in the 1996 British TV movie "The Treasure Seekers."

What's Next: She has four other films coming out this year, including the snowboarding romantic comedy "Chalet Girl" opposite Ed Westwick; and she'll star in Doremus' next movie, which is currently in production.
