The first teaser trailer for "Thor: The Dark World" gave us but a split second of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) getting a little visit from his boy wonder brother Thor (Chris Hemsworth), but today Marvel has unleashed the first full trailer for the second "Thor" installment, and it looks like the Asgardian Bros. will be enjoying quite a reunion indeed as they show down with an enemy which threatens to tear apart "the very fabric of reality." Um, yikes?
Of course, even if Loki's aligning with the good guys this go-round, he's still got plenty of snarky witticisms on tap to piss people off. Besides, he's already made enemies of most of Thor's crew thanks to that little New York City destruction incident in "Marvel's The Avengers." He gets a nice, solid smack in the face for that last bit, as a matter of fact, courtesy of Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).
Loki's been imprisoned in a glass container back home "all this time" — vaguely implying it's been a while since the events of "Avengers" went down — but Janey's being targeted by creatures from the Dark World, the place our old pal Odin (Anthony Hopkins) voices over to tell us existed before the creation of the universe, so it's all hands on deck for this fight ... even those of Loki, who, the trailer reminds again and again, just can't be trusted.
"Thor: The Dark World," directed by Alan Taylor of "Game of Thrones" note, hits theaters on Nov. 8. Rene Russo, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson, Kat Dennings, Chris O'Dowd, Stellan Skarsgård and Christopher Eccleston also star.
