Before this, all we had was that hellishly vague synopsis which read, "This time, there's no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off."
Thanks to the new vid, though, a couple of things are now clear.
First up, okay so there's no wedding, but there is a funeral. Alan (Zach Galifianakis)'s pop passes and this brings that wily wolfpack back together for one last hurrah, despite twice learning the maelstrom of menace that follows their gathering. Stu (Ed Helms) seems to know trouble is soon to follow his tattoo-free arrival, but Phil (Bradley Cooper) is too caught up with Alan's angelic pipes to care.
What happens next appears to involve a return to Las Vegas, a crew of pig-masked men with giant assault weapons, John Goodman's character in a baby blue tracksuit gunning down some guy at the pool, Melissa McCarthy as a run-down pawn shop clerk, a prison gone wild, Mr. Chow (Ken Jeong) playing dress-up with a sheriff's uniform, Jade (Heather Graham) the sultry ex returning in a
shirt more wholesome format, poor Phil dangling from the side of a very tall building for some reason, and a pet giraffe setting the inevitable "Final Destination 43" into motion.
Yep. Sounds about right.
"The Hangover Part III" hits theaters on May 24.
