Have you ever been walking through the city, seen one of those street performers painted to look like a statue or a robot and thought to yourself, "I'd hit that?" Well, guess what.
The first trailer for the new indie "The Giant Mechanical Man" is here and chances are once you get a look at "The Office" star Jenna Fischer's efforts to find true love among the painted people, you'll never look at street performers quite the same way again.
That's because "The Giant Mechanical Man" is a quirky romantic dramedy starring Fischer as a down on her luck lady trying to rebuild her life after she hits rock bottom. Her sister (Malin Akerman) thinks the path to redemption runs through an unctuous self-help guru (Topher Grace), but she has different ideas -- like dating a dude (Chris Messina) who dresses up as a stilt-wearing robot to make a statement about man's inhumanity towards man. Or something.
