And now, for some good news: In the trailer for the upcoming political thriller "The Company You Keep," Shia LaBeouf does not at any time either a) have actual on screen sex with his co-stars or b) drop acid on screen in a misguided attempt to be the most method actor ever. So what does the movie feature if not extreme acting stunts?
How about Oscar and Golden Globe favorites Robert Redford, Susan Sarandon, Julie Christie, Stanley Tucci, Nick Nolte, Anna Kendrick, Chris Cooper, Richard Jenkins, Brendan Gleeson, Terrence Howard and Sam Elliott?
If it's all about "The Company You Keep," Shia is keeping some pretty awesome company!
Directed by Redford himself, "The Company You Keep" tells the story of a reporter (that's LaBeouf) trying to track down a mysterious fugitive (that's Redford) who was part of the infamous domestic terrorist organization known as the Weather Underground back in the late '60s. With the FBI also hot on his heels, though, Redford may have an even bigger secret in his past: He's innocent.
It's just the kind of film that Redford does better than anyone else (see: "All the President's Men"). So can LaBeouf keep up without resorting to a tab of the brown dots? Check out the new trailer, courtesy of Empire, and see for yourself.
