So here's a movie pitch for you: Put Colin Farrell together with Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell in a film where they face off against a nutso Woody Harrelson. Then have the whole thing be written and directed by Farrell's "In Bruges" collaborator, Martin McDonagh. Oh, and add in Tom Waits clutching a bunny.
It sounds too amazing to be real, but go ahead and pinch yourself if you have to, because we have the new trailer for "Seven Psychopaths" right here. Sometimes it's just cool to be alive, isn't it?
The plot: Farrell plays a struggling screenwriter (is there any other kind?) whose friends — Rockwell and Walken — happen to be professional dognappers. That's right, they kidnap dogs and then return them to get the reward money posted by worried owners. Which is all fine and dandy right up until they snatch the wrong dog and get stuck in the middle of a gang war being waged on and by Harrelson's wackjob mobster.
So what happens next? Well, considering Rockwell is Walken's heir apparent when it comes to oddball roles, let's just say this one has to be seen to be believed. Check it out and get ready. Because the only thing better than one on-screen psychopath is "Seven Psychopaths."
