Do the beautiful people have the same problems as the rest of us?
If you buy into the "People Like Us" trailer, featuring Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Michelle Pfeiffer and Olivia Wilde (among others), the answer is yes, they do.
Despite his dashing smile and tailored suits, something tells us that Sam (Pine) is having some money troubles — maybe it's when he lands an $84,000 commission only to announce that that will "just about" cover his debt. Hmm. Frankie (Banks) needs a plan because apparently her son blew up a swimming pool or something. Whatever the case, it doesn't sound good. And Lillian (Pfeiffer) seems to be mourning the loss of her husband, Sam's father, by drinking, a lot.
See? They've got problems. So there.
Their stories collide when Sam is tasked with delivering $150,000 of his deceased father's fortune to the sister he has never met — who happens to be Frankie. (What?!) Yep. Dad had a secret child. Now, though their past has clearly gotta sting, we're pretty confident that once these two hook up the healing can begin.
But don't take our word for it. Check out the trailer for "People Like Us" (formerly called "Welcome to People") yourself, courtesy of YouTube, and see if you're convinced these Hollywood heavyweights really are people like us.
