Here are the official instructions on how to watch the new trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises."
Step One: Find a comfortable, secure and darkened room where you can watch the clip in silence and without distraction. Step Two: Bring a paper bag in case you start to hyperventilate. Step Three: Upon completion, offer a small prayer of thanks that we live in a world where things this awesome can exist.
And if you think we're overdoing it, well, you clearly haven't watched the trailer yet.
Not much really needs to be said about "The Dark Knight Rises." It's just the most hotly anticipated film of 2012 thanks to the fact that it's the final insallment of Christopher Nolan and Christian bale's epic Batman trilogy. And the fact that it's following up 2008's "The Dark Knight," which was only the second highest grossing film of all time when it came out. And the fact that it co-stars not just Anne Hathaway but also Nolan's "Inception" crew of Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. And...
Okay, stopping for paper bag before we pass out. Just trust us, whatever hype you've heard for this trailer? It more than delivers, with awesome shots of Hardy as Bane, Hathaway setting up an uncannily relevant plotline (looks like Occupy Gotham is a little more aggressive than their real world counterparts) and too much more to even describe.
