Butter has kind of been kicked around over the last few years. You know, everybody's trying to eat healthier, watch their cholesterol, that sort of thing. It's really been a sad time for butter enthusiasts.
But that all changes right now thanks to the new trailer for the upcoming comedy "Butter." Because once you get a load of this, the only thing that's going to get clogged is your laugh valve.
Here's the skinny: Jennifer Garner plays an uptight lady bent on winning her local butter carving championship. She has just two problems: A stripper (Olivia Wilde) is stealing her husband (Ty Burrell) and a newly adopted orphan girl (Yara Shahidi) is gunning for the top prize as well.
Add in performances by Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone and Ashley Greene — not to mention some major league scene stealing by the always awesome Rob Corddry — and you've got a recipe for a satire that's as smooth as... well, you know.
"Butter" arrives in theaters on Oct. 5, but you can check out the trailer right now courtesy of Yahoo! Movies:
