If you're a fan of either Vin Diesel, The Rock, Ludacris, fast cars, Facebook, or all five (or even the number five for that matter) today is a good day.
Vin Diesel has just used his Facebook page to kick off promotion for "Fast Five," the fifth film in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, where his character Dominic finds himself on the wrong side of the law once again.
Vin promises his 19+ million fans "more action than you ever thought you'd see in a 'Fast and the Furious' movie," and the trailer backs that up with the high speeds audiences love about this series.
Franchise vets Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Sun Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar show up for the ride along with a goateed Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who stars as Luke Hobbs, an an agent assigned to track down Dominic and Brian (Walker) and put the breaks on their plan.
After a string of family films, The Rock's decision to return to action films, especially ones with "Fast" in the title, is a welcome one, elevating this entry in the 10-year-old series to a new level of octane.
"Fast Five," directed by Justin Lin ("The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "Fast & Furious"), races into theaters and breaks the bank on April 29, 2011.
