It's been awhile since Academy Award-winner Berry was bikini-clad as Jinx in "Die Another Day," but now the 45-year-old is strutting her stuff again as Kate Mathieson, a professional diver still reeling from the trauma of losing her mentor in a shark attack. When an old boyfriend returns from out of the blue, she decides to go back into the blue to face her fears, Chief Brody-style.
Said boyfriend is played by her real-life man Olivier Martinez ("Unfaithful"), and the film also features legendary British character actor Ralph Brown, best known as drug dealer Danny in "Withnail and I" as well as a parody of that character in "Wayne's World 2." Brown plays a rich thrill-seeker dude who wants to swim with sharks, and may get more than he bargained for.
Guiding Berry into the blue is "Into the Blue" director John Stockwell, also of "Crazy/Beautiful" and "Blue Crush" fame. "Dark Tide" will be released to VOD on March 8 and in limited theaters on March 30.
