That was fast. It seems like overnight Dakota Fanning went from the penultimate child star to… young lady bravely facing death? Guess in the movies, anything is possible.
The trailer for big sis Fanning's latest flick, "Now Is Good," features the starlet as 17-year-old Tessa, a charming girl who is dying of leukemia—and enlists the help of a young man (played by the absolutely b'dorable Jeremy Irvine) to help her knock out her bucket list before she dies… which doesn't give the duo much time.
On her list? Losing her v-card and doing boatloads of drugs, of course.
While the trailer is clearly going for a tugs-at-your-heartstrings kind of vibe (yes, there is a motorcycle ride on the beach), Fanning keeps it from going over the edge — for the most part. Maybe it's her pixie cut and British accent that keep us intrigued.
Regardless of the reason, it's definitely worth checking out for yourself, courtesy of Indie Wire, to see if it makes the cut onto your VOD/ DVD list or not. "Now Is Good" opens May 25th in the U.K.
