Arnold Schwarzenegger may have spent the last decade or so mixing it up in the political arena rather than with bad guys in front of a camera, but if anybody thought his action career was over, they are about to get a major wake up call when they get a look at the first trailer for his upcoming shoot 'em up "The Last Stand."
Hey, he did say he would be back.
And boy, is he ever back, with "The Expendables 2" coming out later this week on a wave of fanfare.
But while that film is an ensemble piece, "The Last Stand" is pretty much all about Arnold kicking butt and dropping one-liners, just as if the calendar still read 1987.
So what's "The Last Stand" about, as if it even matters? Well, for Arnold's triumphant return, he's playing a small town sheriff living the quiet life on the Mexican border. Unfortunately for him and everyone else in his town, a big cadre of carter killers is barreling town on his town, intent on making a forced border crossing.
Naturally, they didn't count on Arnold Schwarzenegger showing up with a gatling gun strapped to a school bus, because why would they? Check it out, courtesy of Studio News System. Because Arnold is, in fact, back:
