Mila Kunis will soon discover that it's not easy being green.
Sam Raimi's "Oz, the Great and Powerful," the prequel to "The Wizard of Oz," has found its Wicked Witch of the West. Mila Kunis has joined the cast as Theodorah, the green-skinned, cackling villainess destined to one day be on the wrong end of a bucket of water thrown by some brat from Kansas.
Mila had recently been approached to reunite with her "The Book of Eli" directors, the Hughes Brothers, for their upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic anime, "Akira," according to Vulture. The "Black Swan" beauty has apparently passed on futuristic Tokyo in favor of a magical land where she commands an army of flying monkeys.
With Mila's involvement, James Franco has apparently agreed to play the lead role of an illusionist whose impromptu hot air balloon ride gets one heck of a detour thanks to a tornado.
Mila Kunis as the Wicked Witch? Kind of a no-brainer, isn't it? Now if Raimi can somehow get Natalie Portman as Glinda... what a world, what a world!
Production on "Oz, the Great and Powerful" begins at Walt Disney Studios in July.
