She's said it herself, but it deserves to be mentioned again: Michelle Rodriguez has a nasty habit of dying in movies.
As the actress told Latina a couple years ago, "Anytime you’ve got a wild, independent, free-spirited woman, she has to die at the end of the movie. Me? I die in every film that I’m in this year. They’re just gonna have to keep on killing me. I’ll keep coming back, until they realize what’s hot and make flicks for bitches like me."
Now, according to Bloody Disgusting, the scorching-hot Rodriguez is about to reverse the curse starting with one of her earliest franchise roles when she brings back commando Rain Ocampo for Paul W.S. Anderson's "Resident Evil: Retribution 3D."
Rodriguez played the zombie-killing badass Ocampo in the first 2002 entry in the undead saga, where she had the distinction of dying twice in the same movie, first as a human and then as a flesh-eater. Let's hope the third time is the charm.
This is just the beginning of what will hopefully become a new trend in the highly-killable lady's career, as they've already stated they will bring back her supposedly-dead character Letty for the next "Fast and Furious" film. And, with Sigourney Weaver all set to be brought back from the great beyond for the next "Avatar" installments, who's to say they can't scrape what's left of the charred remains of Rodriguez's fighter pilot off the forest floor?
As for her penchant for wearing sexy-looking wife beaters in every movie, well … some traditions should stay put.
