It's obvious that Michael Bay knows what he's doing — more than $2.6 billion in box office from the "Transformers" movies alone is pretty compelling evidence — but for his next film he might want to bring in a new consultant: Tim Gunn.
That's because, according to Variety, Bay is heading back to the runway for his newest acting project, as he's cast Israeli supermodel Bar Paly in his upcoming comedy "Pain and Gain." Talk about making it work.
This isn't the first time Bay has thought outside the box and inside a size zero micro skirt; previously he tapped supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to replace Megan Fox as the eye candy du jour in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon."
Paly might have a little bit more to do, however, in "Pain and Gain;" instead of just looking scared at the thought of giant robots, she'll be paying" an illegal immigrant and former beauty queen who dreams of becoming the next Marilyn Monroe." And she'll also be starring opposite Mark Wahlberg, who plays a bodybuilder-turned-criminal, meaning she'll have to keep up with a Golden Globe nominated superstar.
So will Paly herself become the next Monroe? It's too early to tell. But as they say, one day you're in and the next day you're out -- and today, Paly is most definitely in.
