Matthew Fox has laid low since that last devastating shot of "LOST." If you're the kind of fan who wants to see him as nothing but Jack Shepherd, that's great, but we kind of hoped to see him kicking butt or making us swoon in some action or romance.
Well, it turns out he's going to be making us cover our eyes instead. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Fox has signed on to play the villain in Tyler Perry's thriller, "I, Alex Cross."
"Cross" is based on James Patterson's popular detective series, though this film will be an entirely original story starring Cross. Perry will be playing the detective/psychologist, who was last played onscreen by Morgan Freeman. Ed Burns will play his partner, Tommy Kane, and Fox will be playing a baddie named Michael Sullivan, who has earned the nickname the Butcher of Sligo. He kills for the sheer fun of it.
When Cross thwarts one of his murders, he takes it personally, and goes after those closest to the detective.
Rob Cohen will be directing the film, but we have a wait ahead of us as "I, Alex Cross" probably won't be out until next year. That's plenty of time to get used to the idea of Jack Shepherd turning evil... right?
