For those of us who've thought, "If only Kristen Wiig was in more movies about avenging a pet's death," your dream will soon become a glorious reality.
The Emmy-nominated SNL star, whose 2011 big-screen hit "Bridesmaids" grossed over $200 million worldwide and has been heralded as one of the funniest female-driven films ever made, has hardly been resting on her laurels since hitting it big.
Showbiz 411 reports that Wiig is hard at work filming "Revenge for Jolly," written by and starring her boyfriend Brian Petsos, in addition to Elijah Wood, Ryan Phillippe, and Adam Brody. The movie, directed by Chadd Harbold, tells the story of two men, played by Petsos and "Robin Hood" actor Oscar Isaac, who seek vengeance on the robbers who killed their dog, Jolly.
And if that's not enough to scratch your Wiig itch, the funny lady is back on the silver screen in 2012 with Michael Bay adversary Megan Fox and Wiig's "Bridesmaids" co-star Jon Hamm in Jennifer Westfeldt's directorial debut, "Friends With Kids."
