"'Papillon' is the first one that comes to mind. It just leapt out at me.
"Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman are just incredible. That's what acting is at its best, right there. I don't know if I can think of any film that tops it.
"The ending is just incredible. You've got Steve McQueen on that coconut raft and he's saying, 'I'm still here, you bastards!' It's very powerful, that moment. I kind of like to think of myself as that guy -- it's like, 'I'm still here! I'm hanging in here, somehow!' It's like a battle cry, really, and it sets 'Papillon' apart from so many other films.
"When I need a battle cry, I watch 'Papillon.' It gets me going every time."
