Keira Knightley seems to have left Robert Pattinson at the altar.
David Cronenberg is having a hell of a time getting "Cosmopolis" off the ground. First, Colin Farrell left the adaptation of Don DeLillo's novel to do "Total Recall," and then Marion Cotillard left to have a baby (hmph!).
Robert Pattinson has since replaced Farrell in the lead role of a young billionaire who ends up having the adventure of a lifetime when he attempts to get from one side of Manhattan to the other simply to get a haircut.
Keira Knightley, who's starring in Cronenberg's upcoming "A Dangerous Method," had apparently stepped in to take over for Cotillard... and now it seems that's not the case, according to Up and Comers.
In fact, it looks like Knightley had never really been officially attached to the production at all. Someone jumped the gun and put Knightley's name on the production company's website and... well, it just kind of stuck.
Until now, that is.
Production on "Cosmopolis" is currently scheduled to begin in March, which doesn't leave Cronenberg much time to find Pattz a bride -- and one who will stick around for a while, at that.
