Looks like Katherine Heigl has been reading Next Movie! (Disclaimer: She may, in fact, not be reading Next Movie.) But that's neither here nor there.
We suggested the flaxen-haired beauty should take a break from the romantic comedy circuit — temporarily, at least — and now she's set to star in "Face Blind," which is… (drum roll, please) a thriller!
The story follows a psychologist (Heigl) who has a rare affliction that makes it impossible for her to distinguish people by their faces. And you thought you were bad with names.
It's all good until a man who terrorized her most vulnerable patient stalks her, and because the psychologist can't recognize the man, her husband thinks she's the one who's going crazy, leading to a whole new set of problems (we assume). According to Deadline, it's being described as reminiscent of "The Others."
In other words, this isn't some movie where Heigl slings a gun in between playing kissy face with Ashton Kutcher. This is a real, bona fide, blood-plumping thriller. The kind without Kutcher. Or Butler. Or Duhamel. OK, Duhamel wouldn't be so bad. He can be in it if he wants — as long as he plays it tough.
