'Hunger Games' Star Josh Hutcherson Heading to 'Paradise Lost'

Remember that time when Vinnie Chase made that horrifyingly bad movie about Pablo Escobar and it bombed at Cannes  and nearly ruined the career of everyone involved on HBO's "Entourage"? Well, despite that cautionary TV tale, "Life of Pi" star Andrea di Stefano is intent on making a movie about the infamous Colombian drug lord happen, and he's now tapped "Hunger Games" hottie Josh Hutcherson to join the befitting Benicio del Toro for the flick.

Per Deadline, Stefano's "Paradise Lost" (not to be confused with Alex Proyas' Satanic flick) will feature del Toro as Escobar, with Hutcherson coming in for the leading role of Nick, an Irish surfer dude who visits his brother in Colombia and falls in love with a local woman named Maria only to discover she's the niece of the highly dangerous narcoterrorist. That's definitely a bit of bad luck.

"Paradise Lost" marks Stefano's screenwriting and directorial debut, and filming is expected to begin in Panama in March, 2013.

Hutcherson's now completing filming on "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - due in theaters Nov. 22, 2013 - in Hawaii, so it looks like he, unlike his "Paradise" character counterpart, has rather good fortune and will get to film in a tropical environment again in spring.
