Jesse Williams is leaving "The Cabin in the Woods" and heading for the White House of Washington, DC.

The former "Cabin"-dweller is about to get political as he's in talks to join the ensemble of Lee Daniels' historical drama, "The Butler," according to Deadline.

"The Butler" chronicles the latter half of the 20th century through the eyes of a White House staff employee. The film is based on the life of Eugene Allen, who started work at the White House in 1952 as a "pantry man" and served eight First Families before he retired in 1986.

News of Williams' potential involvement comes hot on the heels of word that none other than Alan Rickman is circling the role of Ronald Reagan (Severus Snape as Reagan? Sure, why not?). The duo would be joining an ensemble that already includes John Cusack (as Richard Nixon), Jane Fonda (as Nancy Reagan), Forest Whitaker, David Oyelowo and Oprah Winfrey, with Matthew McConaughey, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard in the mix for roles as well.

This could end up being "The Avengers" of political dramas!

Jesse Williams, who's a regular cast member on "Grey's Anatomy," was most recently seen being a gentleman and not letting Kristen Connolly strip in front of him in "The Cabin in the Woods." He's got the Western thriller, "They Die by Dawn," in the can and is currently shooting his role as drag racer Don 'The Snake' Prudhomme in "Snake and Mongoose."

"The Butler" will commence with production later this summer — stay tuned as the cast looks to be going from "impressive" to "incredible."
